"Don't you want your sister's happiness?"

In this whole episode of today, this sentence of biji barked me the most.Okay fine, she was trying to convince Maanvi & give a Valid reason.Well, Seriously? At first, she is the one who said that she knew Maanvi loves her sister alot and so on.Then whats with that question? To me it sounds more like a insult rather than convincing or what so ever it was supposed to be.
As a matter of fact, this whole thing of Maanvi not being allowed to attend the marriage doesn't make sense to me.Nothing, but an utter rubbish.No-one has a single right to make maanvi stop from attending her one and only sister's marriage.Even if she murders that Swamini Aunty she will still have that full authority to attend the marriage. It's not only for the show called rasams only. It's about supporting and giving her sister the strength. It's about watching your loved one take the biggest step in her life. It's about every single thing, their bonding, their love, their strength, their pain and what not?

At the moment, i find Biji at fault. It's obvious of her to care for the rista more then anything. But well, she needs to check out Maanvi's perception too. And swamini the great, said to keep maanvi out of her sight, not that maanvi shouldn't be attend the wedding. Okay fine, she thinks maanvi is unpredictable and do anything anytime. But isn't she supposed to be taking care of maanvi's emotions as well?Common, doesn't she have any sentiments?Isn't she the oldie? The decision maker? Then where the hell has her thinking abilities and everything gone?Maybe she could make things better? There are so many BETTER ways. She could may be say maanvi to do nothing nice or something like that? Something that wouldn't hurt like its hurting her now. Biji cares for Jeevika and all that, but why not Maanvi? Only the tears she shedded today with Maanvi aren't enough okay? There's a thing called limit and being practical sometimes. Isn't beeji forgetting that?

And that weird question! That kind of made me chuckle? You care for Jeevika's happiness but Maanvi doesn't eh?She could say anything but that sentence.Whatever she was asking her to do wasn't enough that she'd to add that meaningless sentence?
Seriously, nonsense!

P.s : Nia Sharma was amazing today. she made it all so realistic.Hats off :)

this is one point in the show i totally dislike. Beeji is very partial. She cares for both the sisters, but shows her concern for only jeevika :( why not maanvi. I know maanvi is very unpredictable and carefree, but that doesnt mean Beeji should be ignoring her feelings. that's so wrong :( i guess when jeevika goes to the vadhera family, only then beeji will realise manvi's importance.

I kinda agree... I mean the whole you should keep away from the wedding is a bit tooo much to digest.
Yeah Manvi's act was humiliating for the Vadheras, but come on, that's nowhere a legit reason to keep her away from her sister's wedding. That's just plain insensitive.
With weddings and stuff, there are always uncomfortable incidents, but you don't resort to such measures. How can anyone keep somebody away from her own sister's wedding?
And then the dialogue by Beeji , "apni behen ki khushi ke liye" while telling her that she knows how much she loves Jeevika. She's saying she needs to stay away for her sister's happiness, which indirectly also implies that she's an obstacle to her sister's happiness. So that was totally not required, and wayyy too inhuman.
If she'd just told Manvi that another mistake by her could destroy Jeevika's life, I think that would've sufficed and Manvi herself would've stayed careful. She could've even told her not to go anywhere near Swamini for Jeevika's sake, but telling her not to attend at all? Absurd.

YES ! Absurd is what it is. Like you said inhumane! I mean how can she say her to not attend her own sisters wedding?

And BOLD : I loved that part you wrote.
so correct!

I agree w/ everything you said 😉 Beeji's decision is just ridiculous - though, somehow I can't fully blame her, yet I dislike her character due to this reason:

Well said 😉 I just can't sope w/ Beeji caring more for Jeevika. It's something that struck me even at the start of the show. Okay, Beeji does this all for Jeevika's rishta and her happiness, but there could have been lots of other ways.

And the sentence you quoted at the very beginning of your post - what exactly is Jeevika's happiness, I would ask Beeji? Once Jeevika realises that Maanu's not at her wedding, the whole happiness about the marriage will be gone. Beeji knows the love of the sisters, how can she expect Jeevika to be happy on her wedding when the most important person in Jeevika's life isn't present?

And as I wrote in one of my own posts - Maanvi has the greatest right to attend Jeevika's marriage. They are sister, related by blood and Jeevika has a mother role for Maanvi in her life - Beeji can't forbid a daughter to attend her mother's most important and happiest experience.

I think, even if Maanvi said she understands Beeji, she doesn't really. Or at least I don't. I just wish, Beeji would stop to care only about Jeevika's soon-to-be in laws and would finally start to think and care about her own families wishes and happiness. After all, it's not like that only the girls sassural has wishes - and the girl's family hasn't to always bow in front of this wishes. When Swamini said, keep Maanvi away from me, she should've said something - I mean, Swamini can't expect that Maanvi never ever somes near here, can she?

So, Beeji, think about the fact that Jeevika's happiness is Maanvi - keeping her away from the wedding will break the hearts of both, Jeevika and Maanvi 🥺
