It is channel at fault for not letting the show run its course. The makers akso seem evidently unhappy over being given ultimatum to end the show.
Indeed too much rushing is going on. And many things are being left out or tackled too simplistically.
After watching Revenge episodes and reading on it, I feel it was not an easy show to adapt. It was also very unconventional for Indian audience. What they did in many seasons, the makers of EHT tried to do in 1 year. It was a tough job which was made tougher after channel asked to wind it up earlier.
In my opinion they wasted lot of time in build up in last few months by showing repetitive sequences and not showing why people behaved the way they behaved. Now they are addressing the roots and it's seeming too quick as flashbacks are still scattered. Not detailed.
I don't think anything can be done now. Channel's decision seems final. And in trying to end the show within next 4 weeks there will be loopholes, loose ends, developments without proper explanation.
We can only discuss. Or hope for better conclusion. Rest sadly is not in our hands.
I do agree on investing all time and all, only to have show end this way.
Characters had lot of potential. Tarun's father was a filmmaker. Rapist boys had varied backgrounds which had potential to show nexus between corporate world, media, film industry, legal fraternity etc. Rajnath had earlier wanted to be a politician. But his acts now lack the deliberate calculation of a wannabe politician. Many many things have been overlooked to show repetitive flashbacks or petty war of words between characters or now, rushed end.
Maybe makers bit off more than they could chew. Or maybe channel interfered to reduce it to usual simplistic drama and demanded its closure now. Whatever it is, the potential of story, cast and characters will never be fully tapped by the show in its current state.
