Karan was so respectful towards his father unlike Shaurya. If Vasu had set a good example and brought up his son rightly, he would have been a normal son without criminal tendencies. It seems the fault lies more with the father.

Shaurya somehow listens only to his mom. If Sakshi had exercised strictness and discipline, maybe Shaurya would not have been what he is. Again parental failure. Circumstances made a criminal out of Sakshi. Sakshi made a criminal out of Shaurya due to her lax control.

Kangana has turned out to be somewhat naive, trusting, timid and somewhat obstinate. She is in awe of her parents and she turns to others like Raima and Karan. She is lucky that Dev and Durga will give her the right kind of love and guidance, what she missed so far.

Durga is lucky to find second set of parental care. While her biological parents were naive and innocent, Dayal is as cunning as a fox and this factor helps Durga to achieve her goals. Besides he is so rich and that helps a lot to fight moneybags like the Goenkas.

Yes Karan was respectful and he listens to his father's plan. But the plan sucked big time. Father asking son to use a girl till he gets power and then throw her out. No better than Raj asking Shaurya to win the bet 😡
Basu wants Shaurya to be in wheel chair when they throw Kangana out. Yes her big brother should not be able to protect her.
But he is wrong. Kangana has got her protective cover. Her Dev Bhaiyya and Durga Bhabi will not let the girl down. She will learn the bitter truth and Basu and Karan can have nice gala time in prison.

Wonderful post dear n I do agree tht upbringing is what the parents impart to their kids n it's not a one time thing ..it's more like an ongoing process...cos kids learn from their parents only ...every BEHAVIOUR n every asset is taken from the family ..as home is the first school for every child

Shaurya listens to his dad too. This fetish for women is due to dad who had guven him tips on how to handle women or do anything with them.
But I guess you do not remember those scenes.

Had he listened to his mom only then he would not have bet on women. She has always blasted him for betting on women. The only times she shouted at him and slapped him were due to bets, rape and murder attempts.

Kangana never listened to her mom. Rather when Sakshi scolded her in initial episodes and talked about her marks, lying to parents and meeting boys, Rajnath silenced her to shield Kangana.

Goenka kids have a total lax father who makes sure mother also protects kids. But if things go wrong he blames mother for cleaning up after them. Mother might have her own past but she does get stern. Her fault though is to clean the mess instead of letting kids face consequences.

It's all due to no coordination between parents. When they are busy with their own complicated lives how will they focus on kids?

Karan might respect Basu but it is he who started bets on women and egged Shaurya to teach Nitya a lesson. That shows what his upbringing is.
Karan is afraid of his dad. Not respectful. This is why he would avoid him, stay mostly around friends and swindle off their money.

His dad is harsher on him because his career depends on reputation. Plus he is listening now because he himself is getting wary of Goenkas now.

Otherwise even Mr Basu was talking about throwing girl out like doodh mein se makhi.

Durga is best example of upbringing given how Dayal checks her from time to time. And reins in her anger also. Yet he never bullies her or prevents her from something unlike Suchitra did with Dev though she reared him well.

I wonder who Rajnath listened to? Why such difference between him and Arnab? Or was he a stepson/adopted?

Lastly earlier it was said individual matters and upbringing was "no excuse" when Sakshi's orphaned childhood on streets was discussed. Now upbringing matters? Oh yes maybe because only Sakshi has to be blamed as a parent!

Yes, it is no excuse. Blaming on circumstances, blaming parents. Crime has to be punished.

It is another matter that parents have control over kids and they can shape them up. The stronger parent can do that. If the father is bad, the mother can protect the kid from interacting with father too much. Especially a strong woman like Sakshi. Sakshi knew Rajnath was a murderer and kameena, yet she married him and had children by him. She could have protected her son from him.

Dayal cant bully or be too harsh as he is not Durga's biological father.

If one can give Sakshi benefit of doubt for her circumstances, why not give the same to Shaurya, Karan etc. for bad parenting and the environment?

Being on streets without any roof on head or any guidance is very different from having it all yet being deviant.
Sakshi had nothing. So even stole bread from a dog. Shaurya and Karan are protected and provided for still they are rotten. There is no comparison in both scenarios.

Dayal does not have to bully. His one sentence is enough and he onows how to drive home a point. Plus Nitya is already a well brought up girl.

Stronger parent cannot always handle it. Especially a woman. After a stage boys stop relating that much with mother. They think maybe she is just a woman, just being nagging or over protective. An older boy needs to be disciplined by another senior male, a father figure. Shaurya did not get it.

Why will he take mom seriously if dad later comes to him and laughs over same things mom scolded him for? Rather gives him tips on how to smoothly manage affairs?

Sakshi cannot stop child from interacting with father.

Some way is always found. There was an old Mala Sinha-Raaj Kumar film in which mother wants to keep son away from his criminal father's influences. But father somehow meets his son and turns him against mother too.
Same in film Parvarish where Vinod Khanna's character listens to that dacoit instead of following his real parents. Every attempt to discipline him seems like an attack to him on his freedom.

I believe things cannot always be fully controlled. Secondly, if parents have no coordination and contradict each other then child takes neither of them seriously. Rajnath's laugh ruined effect of Sakshi's scolding.
Finally scolding is of no use if parents ultimately clean up for child. Then child thinks parent's reaction is usual drama and ultimately they will handle everything. This is why neither scolding, nor tears and not even death wish of parents moved Shaurya. He did not bother when Sakshi asked him to kill her ans relieve her of this clean up she always had to do for him. He did not bother when Rajnath commented what a bad heir he had.
He just knew they will cry or shout but cover up and as usual he will be laughing unharmed. This knowledge makes him continue being crappy.

Raj and Sakshi should never have covered up for Shaurya. Let him face consequences. Their personal differences and constant cover up spoils it.

Plus they are not clean themselves so kid does not take them seriously. He knows dad had affair and kept taking favours from him to hide that affair. Now he learnt mom did a murder attemot herself so why will he care what she says to him? Raj used to take him along while bullying and bribing witnesses in Payal case. What else would he have learnt then except corruption?

Every aspect of parenting is wrong in Goenkas' case.

Even the usually good Suchitra spoiled Shaurya a lot, passed off his blunders as bachpana or nadaani. Till last month she was laughing off his behaviour as childish antics.

Shaurya has been over pampered, over protected. There is no disciplining factor in his life. Even friends are bad and he does not leave them despite parents forever telling him to avoid their company.

I doubt if Rajnath has any real love or affection for his kids, neither Shaurya nor Kangana!
Hes planning to use Kangana to make amends with Dev and Suchitra! That shows how much he cares for her!

And he encouraged Shaurya's disgusting womanizing behavior by giving him tips, laughing at his bedding girls bets and covered up all his crimes.

Rajnath hates Sakshi, so he would essentially hate the kids he had with her as well.
He has no real fatherly feelings for either Shaurya or Kangana. He lets them go on their paths to destruction, gleefully watching but doing nothing to stop them.
