Star Plus' weekday primetime viewership becomes more than that of Zee and Colors put together in Week 18 of TAM 2014
BestMediaInfo Bureau | Delhi | May 8, 2014
IPL continued to make a dent the viewership of Hindi general entertainment television in its third week. While Zee TV and Colors faced the maximum heat, Star Plus, Life OK and SAB managed to add a few eyeballs.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 18 of TAM 2014 (April 27 - May 3) for CS 4+, HSM markets, the pecking order of Hindi GECs remained unchanged. Retaining the top slot with a huge margin of 334 TVM, Star Plus had a relative share of over 30 per cent this week. Not only this, the channel's weekday primetime viewership was more than the combined total of Zee and Colors put together.
Life OK's growth and Color' decline brought both the channels at a kissing distance having a difference of 36 TVM.
Star Plus recorded a gross viewership of 746 TVM this week. The relative share of Star Plus grew to 30.21% (last week 743 TVM with 29.51% relative share).
