Hello!

I'm Cas

I was wondering if anyone out here is a Punjabi? I was curious to know how is the Baby-shower or the Godbharai performed? Is it an all women function? Strict no-entry for men? How its shown on-screen?

If no then what is actually done?

I am searching through Google but it would be helpful if I had first hand description from people...

Do try to read this and reply!

Love
Cas 😊

I am bengali but I like punjabi language..
I saw in movies that baby shower is an all woman function, no entry for man. But I saw in a Bengali movie that in Bengali ritual, man are allowed in the function & blesses the mother. The function is called "Shaadh" in bengali. Although we (muslims) don't have such ritual.

Yaa...my friend is also a Bengali and just mentioned this to me! And in other cultures too men have some part in the rituals...

I m a Gujarati and in our culture the Devar paints the Mother-to-be's cheeks with kumkum and vice-versa...

Thank you so much for helping me out here!! It really means a lot!! 😊

In most cultures it's a ladies function
