Heya Lovelies!!!

Sorry for making you all wait for so long!!!

Have 2 new cases piled up and have no idea where to start and where to end them. Just finished with three and had to reluctantly welcome 2 more at my door. Finally got some quality time to write this and just leaped in. I am writing this kind of a thing for the first time, so pardon any crap!

Enjoy reading and do not forget to have a nostalgic feeling(mostly sad though)!!

PART 1

Three months. Yes, three whole months had passed by. Suman stared out of the window, staring at the twinkling stars in the night sky, whom she believed to be her parents and her nanu, who was now watching her from his new residence - the night sky. Yes, he was no more. A drop of tear escaped her eyes as she remembered the heart-wrenching incident that captured a place in her memories exactly 2 weeks before.

----FLASHBACK----

"Hello Suman beta?"

"Nahi mamaji, main Shravan. Bataiye, aap sab kaise hain? America mein settle hone mein zyaada pareshaani to nahi hui na? Anuj kaisa hai?"

"Shravan beta...beta woh...tumhaare nanu...babuji..."

"Mamaji kya hua? Saaf saaf bataiye-"

"Beta tumhaare nanu nahi rahe."

SILENCE

"Mamaji yeh sab kab? Kahan? Kaise? Aap log Delhi mein ho??"

"Haan beta hum kal hi aaye the kuch dinon ke liye aur...tum Suman ko lekar jald se jald Tiwari Qila pahunch jaao beta."

"Ji Mamaji."

Shravan sat on his bed with a thud. How was he going to control his Sumo? Though Sumo, she was not so strong to bear news like this. His thoughts knocked his consciousness repeatedly when Suman entered the room. Shravan looked up to her and rushed at her, engulfing her in a tight embrace.

"Shravan kya hua? Tum aise achanak-"

Shravan broke the hug and cupping her face, kissed her forehead and began crying. She was quite taken aback as hot streams of tears flowed down her face and neck. She looked up to him.

"Kya hua Shravan? Bataao na."

"Sumo woh-"

"Kya?"

"Sumo nanaji-"

"Naanu kya?"

"Nanaji...nanaji..."

"Shravan bataaoge bhi..."

"Nanaji hum sabko choddke chale gayein."

Suman stood still for a while. No reaction, not a single drop of tear. Shravan held her by the shoulder and shook her.

"Sumo...Sumo..."

Suman fell to the floor with a thud and began crying bitterly. Shravan hugged her tightly. Her constant weeping rent his heart. He made her face him and looked into her eyes.

"Sumo, tum to Sumo ho na? Tum agar aisa karogi to kaise chalega? Abhi chalo, Tiwari Qila jaana hai, Nanaji ko ek akhri baar dekhne ke liye."

"Shravan mere naanu...mere naanu chale gaayein...mera ab koi nahi raha...ek wo hi to the mere...main phirse anaath ho gayi...mujhe apne saath nahi le gayein, tadapne ke liye chodd diya...itni khudgarzi woh kaise kar sakte..."

"Sumo stop! Mere rehte tum kaise keh sakti ho ki tumhaara koi nahi raaha? Main hoon na tumhaare saath."

"Shravan mujhe ek baar naanu ke paas le chaloge please?-"

"Chalo."

Shravan brought a broken Suman down downstairs. All the family members rushed to them, only to be shocked on knowing of Nanu's death. Pushkar and Preeti accompanied Shravan and Suman in their car while the others decided to take a separate car. Pushkar drove the car, while Shravan seizelessly tried to make Sumo react in some way or the other, who just sat still. The two cars reached Tiwari Qila in no time.

Suman rushed in, followed by Shravan and others. The sight in front of her snatched away the ground underneath her feet. There lay her nanu, lifeless with Mamaji, Mamiji, Mausaji, Mausiji and a completely perplexed Dabboo who was still too small to understand the concept called INEVITABLE DEATH.

Suman fell in front of her nanu's lifeless body. A drop or two did escape her eyes but not more. Unable to stand it anymore, she ran to the terrace. Shravan ran behind her.

"Sumo sambhaalo apne aap ko. Aisa karne se agar nanaji waapas aa jaate to hum sabko ab tak ro roke nadiyan bahaa deni thi. Please sambhaalo khud ko, apne liye naa sahi, par mere liye-"

"Shravan kyun? Kyun meri saari khushiyaan ek ek kar ke mera saath chod deti hain? Kya main kuch bhi deserve nahi karti iss life se? Tum kya kaafi nahi the jo ab meri taqdeer ne bhi mujhse mooh mod lene ka faisla le liye? Mujhse baadi badkismat aur koi ho sakta hai bhala?"

Shravan cupped her face and kissed her forehead. She again broke down in his arms with him rubbing soothing circles on her back constantly.

----FLASHBACK----

Suman shut her eyes. That moment was indeed unforgettable, wasn't it?

"Nanu dekhiye na aapki Suman badi ho gayi hai. Zindagi se sabak seekh chuki hoon ki aapke jaane ke baad iss duniya mein main akeli hoon. Koi nahi hai apna mera. Zindagi ke iss dardnaak safar ko mujhe akele hi tay karna hai. Bachpan se ek bojh ke alaawa kya hoti aayi hoon sabke liye? Yahan tak mera so-called husband Shravan, jisne mujhe ek kaagaz ka tukda samjha hai ki phook maarke udaa diya aur udd gayi, uske liye bhi ek bojh hi hoon. Pata hai nanu, usne Aditya se kaha hai ki humaare beech sab kuch hai jo ek pati patni ke beech mein hota hai, aur uske iss baat se main bilkul bhi naaraz nahi hoon. Sahi to kaha hai, ham pati patni ki tarah ladte hain, behes karte hain, ek doosre par zor chalaate hain, ek doosre ki har ek choti-moti baat ka pata rakhte hai, sahi hi to hai? Naraazgi to mujhe iss baat se hai ki patni na sahi, usne to mujhe dosti ke laayak tak nahi samjha. Usse hamesha lagta hai ki main uske paison ke peeche padi hoon, usse uske papa ke khilaaf bhadkaana chahti hoon. Kya main sachme aisi hoon? Shaaya haan, kyunki sabhi ye kehte hain aur sabhi galat to nahi ho sakte, naa? Shaayad taqdeer ne meri zindagi ke pannon mein sirf dard aur akelepan ke hi alfaaz likhe hain. Agar ye taqdeer ka faisla hai, to yahi sahi. Intezaar karungi main, karti rahungi main, uss din ka jab mujhe zindagi ki iss kaid se azaadi mil jaayegi. Ab kuch baaki hai to bas maut ka intezaar."

And another drop did not hesitate to escape her eye, taking the form of a thousand unspoken words which could be enough to turn her world upside down completely, with each passing day helping. Now, if anything was left, it was to wait and watch what destiny had in store for her.

So this was the first part for all of you. I kinda felt weak while writing this. Now, only have to see how your hearts and minds capture your senses!!
