Honestly the past week had been very meh for me with the whole Daal drag that I even thought I will just take a break from the show cuz I was zoning out. *I KNOW* 😲
But MAN was I wrong! This week's episodes so far have been mindblowing. Though I hope the Daal fest is over now😆 Just caught up with both the episodes today because I couldn't stay away from my EDKV. Just cant😳
I loved loved loved the bookstore scene yesterday! So many memories attached. So many emotions. Shravan finally felt genuinely jealous about Jeevan and Sumo when he said "Kuch zyada hi attachment nahi hogaya tumhe?" 😉

But more than this I loved Nirmala sneaking from behind books to just get a glimpse of her son. It was so so heartbreaking! Truly what a mother's heart would feel. Yearning to see her child after so many years. That this one moment, this one glimpse would be enough to fulfill her for the rest of her life. The way she almost broke down and cried, it was so realistic. For the first time in a show, the mother who left, isn't actually at fault. For the first time, it isn't the mother who is wrong. I love this take in the story. It establishes the mother son bond so beautifully.

I also love how we finally got to see Nirmala's side of the story today. Till now we only saw one side of it, but seeing the other side changes everything. Just like how it will for Shravan soon. She was never wrong! I for one believe that a woman has every right to be independent, every right to work, every right to feed her family or provide for them the way she wants. If Ramnath couldn't settle himself well enough, how the hell is that his wife's fault?! The fact that rather than appreciating, he blames her just because he can't see his wife be the man of the house. Well its your fault in the first place. Maybe if you were man enough to take care of your family, she wouldn't have to. But even then if she wants to be independent she has every right to.

I knew from the start that Ramnath was a fishy character. He had a dark side to him and today that was revealed. How sick of him to slap his wife? Moreover, instill such a disgusting image of his wife in Shravan's head? That too at such a young age?! Like how the hell can a father scar his own son like that? Just how?! Clearly his ego was bigger than his love for his family. All of it seems fake now. All his affections and feelings look superficial. Now that I think of it, I am glad they didn't drag the Ramnath track. This man just doesn't deserve the love that Shravan has for him. Not till he rectifies his mistakes, if he even can. And when Shravan finds out about this, oh man he will lose his shit. He will never forgive Ramnath for separating his mother from him like that.

All of Shravan's viewpoints, all of his opinions, Ramnath is to blame for. And I think that's what Ramnath wanted all along. He wanted his son to go to Oxford, he wanted him to get a degree, become a successful lawyer, all to prove to Nirmala that he could raise Shravan better than her, or more so, to prove the idea that a man can be more successful than a woman. He did it all to fulfill his own ego. He may have done it out of the love for his son too. But I don't see that as the main reason behind it. More than the situations, I think Ramnath is the biggest culprit in shaping Shravan to be the way he is, trying to make him a complete replica of his father. But that will change. Once he learns the truth. Shravan will regret every ounce of hate he felt for his mother.

Again, I see Shraman in this too. The way Shravan misunderstood his mother and stayed away from her for all these years, questioning why she never contacted him. The same way Shravan stayed away from Sumo all these years, questioning why she never contacted him either. In fact he already asked her during the reunion party "Did you ever try contacting me? Ever try saying hello even?" It explains why over the years, only his hatred grew for both Sumo and Nirmala, meanwhile on the other side, only love and yearning grew. I can't wait till mother and son unite. It will be the most beautiful reunion ever. So many feelings attached, so much depth, so many questions, and so many regrets.

I actually feel bad for Shravan. He got trapped in between all this without any fault of his own. All his dilemmas, all his frustrations make sense now. He is not justified for looking at women the way he does, but I don't blame him after all the constant poisoning Ramnath did to him over all those years. I can't wait till he finds out about this. He will never forgive him for it. But most importantly, I wonder if he will ever be able to forgive himself?

Unres finally...
Ghanna 🤗
Firstly, lovely post! I couldn't agree more!

Now coming to the episode, I just loved it.. it was hands down beautiful! From the scenes to the acting, top notch! Nirmala weeping like that killed something inside of me, no mother should ever have to go through such a torment. It's downright cruel. Shravan's reaction when he hears her name, there was this longing in his eyes.. like he would give anything to just see her one more time, I didn't see any hate there, just sheer love. I'm glad that even for a second, the only thing that came to his mind at the mention of his mother was love. 👏

Ramnath, the guy always gave me an unsettling feeling, like he's trying too hard, maybe he wants what he wants, maybe it's his guilt for having done what he did to his wife and child. I'm not quite sure, but all those talks about keeping the family together, no matter the means or consequences, hog wash! He was and is a severely complexed man. He couldn't stand his wife earning while he couldn't. But I believe most men would do the same. It's just their ego. I'm not for a moment saying that reduces the vile nature of his. He was wrong. Too wrong. He accused his wife, raise his hand on her, simply shows how weak he really is. Then he would stoop so low as to show his son his very perception. Which father does that? Even if Nirmala had something going on (which she didn't) but even if she did, you can't scar a child like that and claim you love him. You destroyed his childhood, his faith in his mother and you expect him to be okay. You crushed an innocent soul and didn't flinch. You have to be another level of crazy to do that. Unforgivable.. and then to prove a point, pack him off as if he has no feelings. Ramnath you have a long way to redeem yourself if that's even possible.

Shravan, I'm frankly a little scared of his reaction. The basis of who he's come to be is a lie. His accusations and hate are baseless. You can't just get over such a thing. Yes he will acknowledge his mistakes, apologize even, but will he ever truly forgive himself? I doubt it.. a fall of this stature, will only leave him scarred further. He won't be able to love his mom all inhibitions shed, cause of his guilt. He won't be able to hate his dad all inhibitions shed, cause of his love. It's going to be hell for him. And I'm all too apprehensive to see him there..

Wow! I went overboard didn't I? 😆
Enough said!
Keep writing.. cause I just love reading your posts!

Word!! Brilliant post ghanna. Shravan will have a hard time in forgiving himself for hating his mother for no fault of hers. Ramnath scarred his son for lifetime. All those pain, anger , hatred he felt for his mother is suddenly meaningless. Care love shown by his father now seems just an act. As they say" guilt isn't a rational thing, it's a weight that will crush u whether u deserve it or not" But sumo is just like a therapy to shravan , a cure for his broken heart. Together mother-son -friend trio will overcome any hurdle.
P.s.- I love reading ur posts. Can u plzz PM me when u post something. .

I don't think it is that easy for suman as ramnath will try all means to prove himself right to not lose shravan.
Other question is when he knows that his mom was not wrong he might change his view about women but will he change his view on women being independent?

Ghanna agree with your take, great one 👏
I don't want to comment on Ramnath and his thoughts and views it's 👎🏼 , it would be repetitive as you all have said it
Again the writers 👏👏, In this given scenario, Ramnath's is once again such a realistic character, where a wife earns more than him and he isn't praising her and happy for her.. while he is being a loser himself... if we take any movie or show or story or any real life couple, any man would react the way Ramnath did, 99% would do the same , in that situation ..the credit for which goes to writers,, very natural reaction from his side which is very pathetic .. but then that is how men who are losers are ... He emotionally threatened Nirmala to stay away from Shravan... very much in character.

As and when I knew Geetanjali was casted for mother's role... I knew this was coming up . though earlier I wished to something different ..like men always not being wrong and women could as well be wrong .. but again .. this one is more realistic .. men who has no jobs... has only one job..,to taunt and disgrace his wife. 👎🏼👎🏼

Nirmala said, Shravan was given very good parvarish and up bringing , I agree with that..he turned out into a great individual and his anti women thoughts have a strong reason... once that is cleared he will be perfect with now flaws. Generally, kids of separated/divorced parents turn very hostile and obnoxious ... but here shravan is not vengeful or obnoxious, but strongly opinionated . so his parvarish is done well... but now my question is parvarish all about giving comfortable life and oxford degrees ? He stayed away from his dad and family for 10 years , and his character is based on what he imbibed from books and friends back in London. I don't think Ramnath any contribution or changed Shravan's behavior in any way.. his character is build on what he witnessed as a teen .. I don't give credit to Ramnath's parvarish for Shravan's character...but yes for his comfortable life/studies etc.

Now Shravan will have a heartbreaking situation out of guilt for misunderstanding his mother and anger and despise for his dad. He will not forgive himself for both.. hurting his mom and trusting his dad. .But Suman and Nirmala will be there for him.

I can't wait for mom son reconciliation and reunion , it is gonna be heart breaking !! sigh

Hey , ghanna right ?
I loved ur post
It was really insightful , but the thing is I think shravan might forgot ramu , or atleast sumo will make him , the way he respects him and loves him , it will be more difficult for him to distance himself from ramu . But I think he will not be able to forgive himself , and I guess that's where sumo will come and the love story will come on track . It was wrong on ramus part to make a son hate his mother but nirmala should have contacted shravan, she acted like a Bichari, why was she quite after being slapped ?
So to some extent , sharavan hate towards women and his insecurities are because of both of them
Do pm me when u write something in the future

last episode bahot hi brilliant tha... shravan ke mom ka bhi perspective dikha... muje lagata hai jab sharavan ko pata chalega tab usse sabse jayada pain uske papa ke bareme me janke hoga.. jiss ladke ne uske papa ko itni respect di hoti hai aur uske bareme pata chale to vo uske liye world end hone jesi baat hai... jaha tak khud ki baat hai to uski koi galti hi nahi thi uske papa ne uske mind me itna poison de diya ke usko aesa hi dikhna tha aur nirmala ne bhi kabhi contact na karte uske papa ki baat ko indirectly sahi proof kar diya... muje bas yahi prob hai ki nirmala itni independent hone ke baad bhi aesi bechari jese kyu apne son ko mile bina yaa usse baat kare bina nikal gai ghar se... ramnath uncle ne jo bhi kiya vo sirf apne ego me aur sharavan ko apne saath rakhne ki vajah se hi kiya yaa aur bhi koi vajah hai.. vo to future episode me hi dekhne ko milega.. i hope ramnath ke character ko only grey hi dikhaye black character na karde kyunki iss serial me koi completly black character hai hi nahi😊
