Shravan Malhotra.

A man of character to say the least.

This man and CVS have proved to us time and time again of their consistency and character.

Yes, Shravan is human. He has made mistakes as well. He has his flaws, his insecurities, and vulnerabilities, but he also has his good characteristics.

Those that we love. And from time to time remember and applaud him for because he, as a character deserves it.

To label Shravan's actions as mind games is absolutely and completely insulting to both Shravan's character and the CV's. Because no, Shravan's actions, especially when Suman is involved cannot be classified as MIND GAMES. It's mind boggling to me to even think as such.

Mind games would be for those male leads we have seen in several other shows who purposely lead the girl they "love", manipulate her, hurt her and insult her. And once they are done they walk way. That's mind games. When an individual purposefully wants to use the other person for their selfish intent.

Mind games are FAR from what Shravan has for Suman.

Unconditional love, support, and faith can be a few terms/actions that are better to describe Shravan's motives for Suman.

Not mind games. Mind games are the LAST LAST LAST thing he'd do, especially with Suman. His relationship with her is invaluable to him. He wouldn't do anything purposely to hurt that relationship.

What Shravan did was breathtakingly beautiful.

That was his love.

The fact that he used this opportunity, this promise he had where she couldn't say no to what he asked of her was more heartbreaking. Because he still is that insecure teenager from ten years ago when it comes to her. He loves her so much that he just cannot take her rejection. He used this instance to guarantee that he would have this friendship that is so dear to him.

Why did he say friendship, instead of love?

Because for him, it's love. But he doesn't know that Suman does in fact love him as well. It's just a thought that has not occurred to him, because it's so far beyond what he believes could happen. Because how could he even believe that?

They have been apart for ten years. With no contact, whatsoever. How can he come to believe that in the ten years, in which they have had no contact, no chance for him to see her mature, that she feels the same for him as he does for her? I just don't. Because also the last time he spoke to her, his heart was so broken. He didn't have any basis to believe that she could feel like that for him too.

And being the person Shravan is, he would never impose his feelings on Suman, especially knowing how she's like he can't risk heartbreak again. Not with her. The one person he cares for much for and needs in his life.

His actions more than anything speak what words CANNOT DO JUSTICE TO.

Two instance that were underplayed in the episodes but are so critical and that especially proves the immense value of Suman in his life are:

1)The terrace scene where he jokingly tells her that he needed his one friend that he trust to have his back defend him in front of the the people that said stupid things to him in London. Like that. His expressions there and the way he was just looking at her. It so beautiful. Because Suman is his only true friend. The person he used to rely on for support. He wants that friend back. He wants to have that dynamic back, and now when he sees and understands that this Sumo (a much more matured woman who will no longer take him and his feelings for granted) will return that friendship with equal respect.
2) In today's episode, I don't know if you realized but at the rickshaw scene when he tells her what he said to his family, and she in a very confused state says friends, the panic that was so clear in his expressions and body were heartbreaking. And then when he immediately brought up how she promised him she wouldn't deny his request, my heart just couldn't. Because she MEANS SO MUCH TO HIM that he used that one promise to make sure she wouldn't deny him their friendship. The fact that he loves her so much and can't handle not having her in his life that he is willing to suppress his feelings just so that he can still have her as a friend says it all.

Another instance that just shows Suman's importance in his life is that he stayed back for her despite letting her know specifically even going as far as showing her the ticket back to London, he stayed. He stayed for her. To support her and stand by her when she needed him. If that's not love, I don't know what is. The fact that he didn't stay when his father, the man he loves and respects so deeply pleaded him to stay. When Pushkar, the brother he loves and cares for so deeply begged him to stay.

But yet, for Suman. He stayed. He couldn't leave her knowing that he could help her in a situation where she needed him.

Shravan, being the character he is, has shown endlessly support for Suman, even when the one time he needed her most, she left his side.
He never did.
He never has.
And he never will.
Because that is the man he is. His love for her overpowers everything.

Just wow! I'm in awe of how well-written this post is.👏

I'm actually kind of confused as to why everyone is talking about mind games.😆 I think Shravan is flirting with her on purpose, but in no way is he playing any sort of game. At most he might just be leaving the door open for them to be something more than just friends in the future, but for now his main priority is rebuilding their friendship.

I too noticed how suddenly panicky he looked in that rickshaw scene, but I read it more as lighthearted scene than a serious one. He must know that no way was she gonna palti maro on her promise so soon.😆 So I don't think he was too worried in that moment at least, more like slightly annoyed at her confused state.😆

Very well written Zain 👏 👏. Sravu character is really well written and I too think he is not playing any mind games. He wanted his friend back period. He is ready to get sumo in his life if it friendship. Because he don't know sumo having feeling for him how can he know they are parted 10 years back and when he came back their relation is not in good condition. After that when ever some one saying about their being couple he saw sumo reaction and it's not positive. So it's better he become friend's with her.

Aww thank you for the wonderful compliment!🤗

Hehe..It's just a topic that has been started by people on the forum discussing their perspectives on the terrace scene, when Shravan proposed for friendship.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I really just feel that at the moment he understands Suman's reaction to him, but he wants more than that. He doesn't just want her to physically affected by him, he wants her to have an emotional connection to him that goes beyond friendship, however that can only take place once they clear the past (which he is doing by reinstating their friendship). Also, I believe that Shravan doesn't exactly expect her to be in love with him, considering that fact that they were apart for so long and how much both of them have changed.

And above all, by extending his hand for friendship, he once again has shown how much Suman means to him, because he is willing to suppress his own feelings just so that at least he can still have her in his life. And even Suman pointed it out at the terrace scene, that it was once again he who extended his hand first, which I really loved because it showed development on Suman's part. From before, when Suman probably wouldn't have even realized, now as result of her maturity she is able to recognize and appreciate even the smallest of things that Shravan does.

Maybe I just read more into that scene, but I just loved that scene so much because it just showed once again how much she means to him and that he could't tolerate anymore distance between them.

Thank you Rekha! 🤗
Exactly! The consistency and dignity with which Shravan's character is written is just commendable. He is NOT playing mind games. And neither would he ever. This is Suman that we are talking about. His best friend. The person he loves so immensely that he provides her his unconditional support.

Friendship is Shravan's best and safest way to keep Suman in his life. A separation of ten years did not take away the friendship they shared, so why not reinstate a relationship he knew was still very much present between them?

Love is only present from Shravan in HIS mind, because he does not know that Suman feels the same for him. He probably sees that she is physically affected by him, but doesn't give it that much significance. This period is necessary for Suman to realize the depth of her feelings and what she will do about them. Now, that Shravan has reinstated their friendship, it is time for Suman to finally extend something to him, which I hope to see in the future.
