Yet another MASTERPIECE...by the EDKV makers today!
Thought to myself
Will take my time
To be able to do adequate justice
Therefore, just caught the 12 am repeat
And boy, am I bowled over!!
This is sure a CLASSIC in the making
Can't think of anything
Even remotely close
Made in a long, long time
Had seen such similar FLAWLESS execution
In my other all time favourite
"Zindagi Gulzar Hai"
Coming back to our common love
EDKV
Today was yet another ShraMan MILESTONE
Another one in EDKV's already feather heavy cap!😉😆
A lot of effort put in by the CVs
To establish the character of the
Cunning & Sly Khosla
"Khosla" for a builder could be a cliche
His takiya kalam of "sachhai ki hamesha jeet hoti hai" definitely isn't!😛👍🏼
Agree a significant time both yesterday and today
Was spent on Khosla's shenanigans
A lot of it was to provide an idea
Of the extent of rottenness within!
Now, coming to the most important part
The FIRST ten minutes of today's epi
Were nothing short of OUTSTANDING!

So here goes...my take
On what left me completely ENTHRALLED today...
LOVED how the proceedings started
Suman looking on at the bright lights of her Nanu's room
Piercing through the 'darkness' of a never-ending night!
Liked how Sumo first tried calling Shravan
And Shravan as expected
Completely uninterested!
A special mention here for the CVs to their attention to detail
Shravan, with his heavy duty law books for company
Looked completely convincing, must say!
There's something about Namik
Can't put a finger to it, but there is definitely SOMETHING
That makes him so completely BELIEVABLE
As a true blue Professional!⭐️
And then,
From the time Sumo entered the Malhotra abode
With anxiety written large on her face
And to everything that followed
After Sumo met Shravan
LOVED the fact that this was NOT a showdown
LOVED even more the myriad connotations to Shravan's stroll
Was it repentance over taking his most loved Dad and Pushkar for granted?
Or was it an inexplicable unrest, to distract himself from thinking about
A certain someone's whereabouts?!
CVs, FANTASTIC touch that
Of leaving so much to the imagination
To be able to stimulate the thought processes of your viewers' minds...

Thereafter, as Sumo finally managed
To 'catch up' with Shravan
The moments that followed
Were EPIC indeed!
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED how the dynamic unfolded in the next few minutes
Started with a condescending Shravan
Ended with a disdainful Shravan as well
So much however transpired in between!
Full marks to the team for making such good use of the camera angles
Using so IMPACTFULLY the difference in Namik and Nikita's heights
Their inner Turmoil captured so Beautifully
As ShraMan's expressions spoke a thousand words...
LOVED how the moments unfolded
The unsure Sumo
The rattled; The completely shaken Sumo
As she just about managed to get herself together
And blurt out the facts and figures
A stutter here; A stammer there
As Shravan realized the gravity of the situation
Lo and behold,
The contempt had disappeared
And in its place
Was genuine concern
'Cos completely oblivious to Shravan,
His guard was lowered!
But Shravan being Shravan
Always quick on the uptake
Came straight to the point
Asked the all-important question
But sadly was let down, once again by his faculties today!
Could Shravan not read those telling eyes
He only saw the surface
Could Shravan just not recognize the 'real' Sumo...
The sheer HONESTY
Of Suman's
"Case ke liye"!!
An EXTRAORDINARY depiction yet again of the frailty of human relationships...
As Pushkar had said the other day
"Insaan wahi dekhta hai jo woh dekhna chahta hai"
Today was yet another classic example of that!
If Shravan has undergone a Metamorphosis
Sumo is a Transformed individual as well
However this REALITY crumbled
Under a decade old baggage
Since neither Shravan, nor Sumo
Managed to "see" each other today!

Nikita and Namik were simply OUTSTANDING
Words fail me as I wish to use all the possible SUPERLATIVES to describe their performance today
Such a COMPLEX scene
Such CONVOLUTED dynamics
There was so much to convey
Both of them portrayed ShraMan's emotions to PERFECTION
Boy! And some myriad AMALGAMATION of emotions was that!
NiMik were truly, truly FLAWLESS today!

And finally, a special mention for the NUANCED direction
Something that has now become synonymous with EDKV
As Suman got back home
And Nanu called out to her
Yet again an attention to detail...
Only a single beam of light illuminating a typical North Indian household
With several condiments on display
A little glimpse into Sumo's world
Disparate from that of Shravan
Not so long ago,
A wedge had just been driven
This moment... a stark reminder of another kind!
Sumo's world could do with several fulfillments
Sumo though may find it all inconsequential
Any indicators of the same??
As Sumo spun the yarn to Nanu on the lawyer's contact details
And concluded with the thoughtful
"Aap ke kamre ke lights abhi bhi jal rahein hai"
As only Sumo can!⭐️
What a wonderfully GRATIFYING moment
Sumo has indeed EVOLVED and how!!

Always felt that Shravan was an extremely well-written character

On a parting note
Couldn't help but think
Of that day
When Shravan may again ask Sumo
The all important question
"Aur tum...tum kya chahti ho?"
Some other place
Some other time
Sumo's answer may still remain evasive
Will Shravan have the confidence in Sumo that day??
