She tried to apologise but Shravan was like he moved on .. What do u expect her to say ? Some huge melodramatic lecture about how she was wrong and she deserved to go to hell for it ? Her reaction was natural .. Also after a public insult like the one suman faced nobody introspects .. They only become angry .. Introspection comes when one is at peace ..
A sensible mature person would've seen that her actions still are remembered by him, even if he says he's moved on. What kind of self-absorbed person doesn't have the SENSE and brain to see that clearly he has not forgiven her for what happened. Moved on, okay. Maybe that part she could take as true (which I think he had been trying to do, not in terms of carrying the issue in his heart, but in terms of trying not to have to deal with her).
But anyone who is empathetic would realize that he has not forgiven her and still holds a grudge against her for what she did.
This is how immature and self-absorbed she is. That after seeing how well he remembers the house, seeing him looking at the pictures, her even thinking to herself that he remembers everything but her, this girl acts so childish as to remove one of the chess pieces from the board, encroaching on what was between Nana and Shravan. Encroaching on the good faith their sportsmanship was based on. Sure Shravan noticed, but the point is, that instead of realizing and feeling bad that her actions have hurt him and he is holding it against her, and pondering on that, she is more preoccupied with the fact that she has to deal with the embarrassment of his ignoring her. She should've been feeling bad and thinking of ways to talk to him and apologize instead of her shenanigans.
And she finally says sorry after seeing him ignoring her fully on the walk to the car. Just because he brushes it off, doesn't mean a thoughtful person wouldn't realize they should shut up. But no, she feels the need to not get her ego hurt and protect herself and says those words. Which, the fact that she said it, and going by her actions and lack of sense regarding this, shows that she probably never did and still doesn't realize the full gravity of what she did. (After all, she writes a sorry note with a smiley face.)
What Shravan did to her at the party was wrong. She is right to be angry and lashing out. But she is not having the high ground here. If she has apologized and acknowledged her mistakes along with telling their relationship now has been settled--THAT would've shown she gets it. It's not about introspection, when he states straight up the reason he did what he did, when he points out her actions which led to this, then yeah along with being angry at him and not forgiving him for his actions, typically mature people also still realize their part and will acknowledge their wrongs as well. It is not a matter of deep introspection. It was clearly laid out to her by him.
I don't have any issue with Suman as that is her character. But that doesn't that I should ignore that indeed this is her character, or rather how she's coming off. Pushkar keeps saying she's changed, but honestly I don't think she has changed after thinking about it. Her circumstances and reality changed. But her personality has not changed much. She probably found out about the loan, etc and has made it her goal to pay the family back. But her personality is still very much similar to the egotistical personality she had as a teenager.
My only issue is that perhaps the writers haven't thought about this and think that whatever her explanation is--that she's been waiting for him all this time to apologize(?)--is going to cure it all. It's not. Even if she was planning to apologize, she clearly misread the situation and has never been shown properly dwelling on her actions. I wouldn't be surprised if the show doesn't even address this.
