Chapter 7:-

' We have nothing in our hands, Piyush. Everything was decided a long time ago by Destiny. Otherwise why, all of a sudden we seperated? Why did he try to avoid me a first? Why did we three land up in the same place?'

Piyush paced in the room, rubbing his forehead to calm down.

' I am speechless. I don't know what to say. Shravan really loves you, and you too love him. I have seen love in both of your eyes.'

Suman sighed and closed her eyes. She wasn't able to tell him that inspite of longing, she can't return.

' Just one chance to him? Just one chance?'

' What's your problem, Piyush? Why do you want me to go to him?' Suman asked, in a rather irritated tone.

Piyush felt hurt. He sighed and said,' I have been in a similar situation, years ago. Had I taken the right decision then, I wouldn't have lost my loved ones. So...'

' I am sorry, Piyush.'

' Last chance, then...' Suman said to herself, but Piyush heard it.

Slowly, Suman was recovering. The wound was drying up. And probably the bitterness which still existed between Suman and Shravan?

One day...

' I no more want to eat this bland food. It's the worst food in the world.'

' Since when did you start doing nakhre like a little child? I swear Ruhi also doesn't....'

' Ruhi? Who is Ruhi?'

' Woh ...'

' Woh Kya, Shravan?'

Shravan would have a hard time if at that moment only , the Colonel hadn't come in.

Shravan Stood up.

' How are you today, Captain?'

' Good sir. The wounds have dried up and I hope by day after tomorrow I will be discharged. Doc told.'

' Good. I have a news for you.'

Suman was surprised.

' You will be honoured in a ceremony. Next week. After that, you will join the army.'

Shravan gave a warm smile to Suman who asked the Colonel, ' But why me?'

' Because you have don't an act of bravery. You risked your life and saved your fellow team mate and you helped in catching the criminal. Because of you only, we had a successful mission.'

' But More than me , Major Malhotra and Major Singhania took more risk.'

The Colonel smiled and went out.

The nurse went out to check on another patient.

' Why were you smiling?' Suman asked, with raised brows.

' You won't change na?'

' What do you mean?' Suman narrowed her eyes.

' Still selfless...'

' Something in life don't change.'

' Well, yeah.'

' Can I ask you something, Shravan?'

' Yes, why not?' Shravan smiled and replied.

' When did you transform from easy going Shravan to Rough and rough Major Shravan Malhotra?'

' Short answer, some circumstances. Long answer... Well, some other day, okay?'

' Sure.' Suman noticed his hesitating nature.

' I hope I haven't disturbed you two?' the nurse came in.

' No, not at all.'

' Captain Tiwari, here is your ring. I found it the day you came here. Here, take it.'

She slid the ring in Suman's finger. In the ring finger.

' I guess you are engaged.'

Meanwhile:-

' Daadi! Papa ke paas Jaana hai.' said Ruhi.

' Aapke Papa toh bad people Ko punish karne and humko safe rakhne ke liye Gaye hain. Papa can't come, beta.'

Ruhi's face fell.

' But we can go.'

Kavita turned to Avni.

' How?'

' There is a felicitation for Bhai and a few others as they were successful in a mission. Bhai messaged that we can go to meet him.'

' Yaaaay!' Ruhi clapped her hands and smiled.

( I just made up this felicitation thing... Pardon for my zero knowledge about army events. )

' But....'

Just then, the phone rang.

Kavita knew who called.

She picked it up.

' Hi, Beta... How are you?'

' I am fine, Mom. Ruhi...how is she?'

' Here, talk with her.'

' Hello, Papa!!! I miss you!'

' I miss you too, Princess!!!'

They had a lovely dad-daughter moment.

Then Kavita talked with her son.

' Mom, I have a surprise for you here.'

Shravan was pretty much excited.

' Surprise? Kaisa surprise, beta?

' Koyi hai Yahaan jisse dekh kar aap khush ho jao gi.'

' Piyush...'

' Your friend na? About whom you talked souch after NDA training?'

As the call was on speaker, Avni heard all. Both of them froze.

' Suman Tiwari... Vijay Bhai ki beti? Bhopal mein...'

Kavita was speechless.

Devraj- ' Suman???'

' I heard all.'

' Suman... Who is she, Daadu?'

Avni, Devraj and Kavita looked at eachother for answers.

' For your Kind information, Kancha, Major Piyush Singhania is posted in Dehradun Regiment.'

' Ab tum theek ho na beta?'

Daadu- ' Kaisi hai meri bacchi?'

' I am fine, Daadu, Papa and Mom!'

They talked a lot. Suman had a hard time in explaining and assuring them.

Meanwhile:-

' Piyush, won't you call your family? '

' You know na Shravan, I don't have anyone in my fam.'

' But your fiancee?'

' Well, I don't want want to disturb her. Plus we both know how are we.'

' Are you messing up with me?'

' Me and messing up? What a joke, Shravan.'

They side hugged.

The day of the ceremony came.

' Chal Shravan. Award milega aaj tujhe.'

' Main Suman... I mean Captain Suman Tiwari Ko lekar aata hoon you go.'

Shravan replied.

Piyush sighed and went away. Knowing, he was just a barrier.

Shravan was looking for her. But didn't found.

' Where did she go know? Does she want to play hide and seek?'

He facepalmed.

Meanwhile, Suman was on her way to the venue when she collided with a little girl.

' Sorry, Aunty.'

'. Sorry Matt boliye. It's my fault baccha. You are okay na? Show me where have you got hurt!'

' I am okay, Aunty.'

' Aapka Naam kya hai?'

' Ruhi. Ruhi Malhotra.'

' So sweet name!'

Suman thought, she looks so much like Shravan!

' Aur aapka Naam?'

' Suman.'

' Can I call you Sumo Aunty?'

' Yeah , sure.'

Suman felt a sudden tug in her heart.

Avni cam running, ' Ruhi, how many times I have to tell you to be with me?'

Suman and Avni froze seeing each other.

' Suman!'

' Avni?'

Piyush hung his head low.

The smile from Shravan's face faded and he stood like a statue.
