I am doing this after a while. Though it won't be an exaggeration if I admit that yesterday's episode quite literally forced me to pen my thought's on Shiv's inner turmoil and dilemma. Namik portrayed the intricacies of Shiv's emotions so realistically that it wasn't much a challenge to connect to them. Rather it was pretty instantaneous. But putting them to words is bit of a task though still I have tried my best and hope I could make some sense outta it 😛
So yesterday night starts with an emotionally fragile and vulnerable Shiv musing to himself how easily Sharanya, once again, is able to trust her long lost (not so innocent) friend, Well the same friend she till few hours ago suspected to be the killer of her father, her lover and many more people concerned. More than enraged or upset with her shift of loyalties, he feels helpless! Helpless to the point he is on the verge of breaking down. Now as it might be pointed out that what is the need of repeatedly showing Shiv so "touchy" that too him being a ghost...I do see much logic behind it. And I would like to exemplify it. Though I didn't really want to use this example but it is so strikingly befitting that I can't resist.😛 When the show started, as many know most of us Namik fans constantly (and a little unreasonably too for that matter😳😆) fussed over his screen space and role in the story. While the fuss and nagging only sprouted from genuine concern there was a time we were termed by some people as his "enemies"...And how much that hurt can only be felt than said. Personally, I only felt helpless at that point... because the intentions were misunderstood
And somehow felt a similar helplessness in Shiv's demeanor last night. When you love and care for someone too genuinely but end up fighting for options to convey and foster that concern...Its not at all a nice feeling.
So when Shiv sees the speeding car almost ram into Sharanya and is unable to do anything, his incapabilities hit in harder. He can fight the whole world to protect Sharanya, but what if she herself decides to walk in the direction of doom? On the crust of it is a man's ego and insecurity that his love still at times falls short for his girl in front of a friend's pain. But at the core it is all concern and worry for her well being ❤️ He just doesn't want her to end up in an undesirable or dangerous situation.
And this predicament ends up making him an emotional mess :') He reminisces how even in the past despite his valid insecurities and doubts, he had put his trust in Vyom only for Sharanya's happiness. She said while Shiv was her life, Vyom was her happiness. And how could he have given his Sharanya a life sans happiness? 😳
I particularly LOVED the contrast between past and present in the scene where Shiv gave his hand to the friendship of the trio. While the past was more like "I stand by you for your happiness" the present was more like "I solemnly resolve to protect you" 😳 Just a hand gesture but the way it was done said a lot many things. IN both past and present, Shiv refuses to trust Vyom. But while in past it was for Sharanya's happiness that actually costed him his life. This time it is solely to ensure her safety. Lest, what he loses (or gains) this time, remains to be seen!
