Change is very important - Chhavi Pandey

Chhavi Pandey is quite kicked about her character in Star Plus show Silsila Pyar Ka. "Kajal is different for she was not just a bahu, beginning with a tom boyish girl to a lover and then finally wife."
There are reports that the show may go off air. "Such rumours have been flying around for a long times. But now things seems serous. We have already seen promos of a new show on our 8.30 pm slot. However we have not yet been informed officially by our producer (Rashmi Sharma Telefilms Limited)."
She blames wrong timing for the show's below par ratings, "We began well by clocking around 1.6 TVR in Jan but then cricket arrived in Feb first T2O World Cup followed by IPL. If an established show drops numbers due to such events, they can still maintain a certain acceptable level. However on the other hand new shows end up dropping steeply as they have not yet found their feet. It is disappointing that Silsila Pyar Ka could not realize it's potential. But no regrets as we all have worked hard. I believe in the old adage of whatever happens for the best. Maybe something better is on the anvil." Says Chhavi who has earlier done Ek Boond Ishq, Bandhan and Teri Meri Love Stories etc.
Chhavi has no qualms about not being a part of long running shows. "Here I believe that if you do the same show for years you end up getting saturated, alternatively if you essay different characters, the variations on offer makes you a better actor. Change is most important."
Chhavi is a very big fan of Kangana Ranaut. " I love the totally chalk and cheese roles she played with elan in Queen and Tannu Weds Manu. One is a sweet girl next door and the second is today independent girl who does what she wants. I would love to essay similar characters either in TV or films if given a chance."
When asked about friends in the industry she says, "I take time to trust people. Also I am more of a homely gal. I have a few friends out here, but they are the one who I can call in the middle of the night and they will respond positivity. I also will go on a limb for them."
In closing Chhavi would love to take part in performance oriented realty shows. "Being a singer if there is show where actors; get a chance to showcase their vocal prowess, I will be more then game. Ditto with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as I am good with my dancing feet as well."
