Yes, he has only Tara's word that RP and Kala are the same person but he already knew that RP was dangerous for his family. He knows that he was the one who attacked Jairaj in the rally. He thought Kala and RP were together in the crime. So believing that they are one and the same was quite possible. If Tara is banished from SM, I guess her dad will be the one with whom she will stay as AD will also not accept her.

The more I think of it the more I think there won't be a misunderstanding track. The track before this was all about them getting married twice over. They wouldn't have spent money showing all that if there was to be a misunderstanding soon after.
Tara supported him and showed faith in him even when her own mother was against him. Now it's his turn, I think he'll be the only one to believe her and stand by her now. At least that's me being wishful😆
