I am from Gujarat, we too do not wear Mangalsutra or sindoor.
Now a days it is a fashion so people wear Mangalsutra, but sindoor is big no in Gujarati family.

We have to wear nose ring as a symbol of married woman and put bindi that's it.

I cannot wear nose ring as it hurts me a lot and I am in US wear pants for work so no bindi too😆

Maharashtra has a Mungalsutra rituals and all gujju who live in Mumbai do wear Mangalsutra but not in Gujarat.

Sindoor is a north Indian rituals, but this idiot box has mixed everything and made a rituals of their own😆

Let's leave entertainment to entertainment and not get ourselves in a pickle over customs.
I respect peoples beliefs n traditions a lot so let's not discuss further on this topic! EBI didn't launch to offend or go against any traditions or beliefs nor did it say they will teach us those beliefs! It's solely for the entertainment of viewers so let's continue to take advantage of that.

yes, the bengalis are just needed to wear an iron bangle at their left hands... thats the only ritual and sign of a married woman.. ...others are not compulsory...

these are just personal choices... thing is The tv world has always typified the woman as doodh ki dhuli...there is no compulsion to live up to this so called 'good girl' image ..

I loved tara's dresses a lot she is very slim and petite in build...too much jewellery and loud dress wouldn't look nice on her...her sleeveless dresses with high collar looks very nice and elegant ... l copyed some of her dresses. ..they truned out really good...just one thing...its about her foot wear!!!!!! If she wears heels. ...she will look more elegant and matured beside her tall habby...about ms and sindoor. ...have no idea that some part of Indians wears it some doesn't. ...l thought all indian ladies wears it after marriage. ...whatever the reason. ...let's forget it...and enjoy our lovely ebi...

True nowadays everyone is following tv. I have noticed in south they do wear sindoor frm where I come frm and in some places the magalsutra is diff. In Karnataka I have noticed its similar to the one which we see on tv but I am frm Kerala and their its diff. But nowadays I noticed all r following tv and wearing the tv type magalsutra after marriage just for fashion. In Muslim community it's mahr which we give it can be a chain or a bangle or anything but mostly it's a chain. But I have never seen my own mother wear it or my cousin who recently got married only wears it for occasions due to inconvenience.

Me too agree. Chhavi looks so small infront of viraf. But I find it cute. It's like he is her protector. I noticed it in the promos also. She is so tiny. But chhavi normally wears heals. Rarely she wears flats even then her height doesn't match up to the tall guy
