It was the ME and most of us have had mixed reactions. Now I would say this is because we all had different expectations from it...
Usually MEs don't turn out the way we expect, but the ME of yesterday was a turning point of our show.
The style of storytelling of EBI is totally different...
Absolutely loved its presentation...the start shows us Kalavati dressed in her bridal finery offering a havan for her long life. She is miffed when the pandit does not bless her with prosperity. And then goes on to say "What's in a Name". This explains that Name & Fame and Power that comes with it is everything to Kalavati and she would do anything to obtain it.👏
And then we are exposed to the name 'Rudraprasad ' being chanted amongst the crowds. It provides us a glimpse of the power and respect the man yields in public. A larger than life public figure. 👏
But then at the end of the episode we see the same Kalavati down on the floor fearing Shame lest her identity be exposed by the whiff of a girl.👏
What intrigued me the most was the way Tara was dressed yesterday. No sindoor, no mangalsutra, black and red outfit. Strangely simple when going to meet Tauji, and the colors!
The moment I saw her what crossed my mind was The Goddess Kali, the Black represented Death and Red the color of Blood.
Rudra & Kalavati for the first time faced The Goddess of Destruction...amidst the chaos of the world around them...to Rudra/Kala she represented exactly that...not as a bride, not as the bright chirpy Tara Bachhu that we know of...but as someone who was capable of destroying them BOTH.
And then the scene of Rudra crushing the mithai/prasad. That was a sign of self-destruction...of things soon to come...
Will we see the end of Rudra out in the open...publicly...for the world to see?
Maybe I am seeing things, but there was another scene just before the Dhakka Maro scene (credit SabaSpeaks) wherein for a fleeting moment Mrityunjay's features soften when looking at Rudra, though Rudra displays a straight face. What is their connection?
Another beautiful scene...when two people collide...Mrityunjay and Tara are pushed against each other...without having a choice...Despite their hatred for each other...the chaotic forces of this universe will bring them together...
Jayraj's words reinforce that, "When this match is made in heaven, no one can stop them from uniting."
Another favorite scene was the car scene and the kaafiyans...They sat beside each other with a wall of hate wedged between them.
Jairaj: Aaj unse mulaqat hai, mann mein zara si ghabrahat hai (Refers to Rudra's meeting)
She replies : Sar pe badon ka haath hai toh ghabrahat ki kya baat hai.(Tara has received blessings in abundance - Faheem's Duas, her mother, Her Father-in-Law - all of the positive forces in her life)
FIL says now your turn to MJ - Waqt achha -toh kabhi saccha toh kabhi sapna hoga (It is up to us to mae our lives good or they are but a dream)
MJ replies: Sikke ke do pehlu hai magar ek hi apna hoga
The words spoken by Mrityunjay mean so much. They represent Him. Mrityunjay and Neel. A choice he would have to make to give up one Mask! And it also stands for the two women he is now connected to. Tara his wife and the girl who keeps filling his life with color, sometimes purple, sometimes yellow and white not knowing that they Both are two beings of the same person just like the painting in his room.
And in a very strange way the Lone Ranger has begun to communicate with the mysterious girl...he wrote back and she replies again with a flowery message...
The colour of the shirt Mrityunjay wears in his shack is Purple the same colour used by Tara to fill his sketch with colour. It is said one must put some violet in your life when you want:
to re-balance your lifeto remove obstacles
to calm over activity or to energize from depression
The yellow roses represent the promise of a new beginning too...
I am not going to bring up the Nimmo & Jayraj bed-tea scenes. Prefer angst between them, can't stand Jayraj smiling at his wife.
And neither the Aditya and Meethi scenes. Lets treat them as fillers.
And yeah for the life of me I cannot understand and never will how the hell did Rudra manage to hide so much of hair under that flat wig.. 😲😆
So basically the ME was to establish that Rudra was Kalavati and no one knows of his dual identity but for a select few of his loyal followers.
Also now that the Hunter will want to be in the vicinity of his prey we will see more of Rudra and probably flashbacks of Kalavati.
About Mrityunjay and Tara coming face to face, this won't happen unless their bonding and feelings as strangers grows stronger.
This is when their own illusion will be broken...that jaane anjaane mein pyaar hua...as strangers they came to deeply love...though immensely hated each other in the name of their relationship.
Ek insaan, do pehchaan!
But then "What's in a Name."
And they will embrace both sides of the same coin!
Precap: Tara afraid to be alone with her body builder of a husband...and Mrityunjay removes a knife.
Now this means Mrityunjay is upset with his films being destroyed and plans to threaten her with that knife.
I am sure tonight the episode will be more interesting with MriAra scenes
