Battu's thoughts from wilderness

I was conversing with Battu during my morning commute to work... I really want to share her thoughts because not only do I completely agree but she looks at things from such a different perspective. Please don't mind errors here, I'm copying & pasting via phone chat so not the best. Ok everything that follows are her thoughts!

-------------------

Actually I felt a lot for radhu when she said haisiyat and himmat.

She was trying to tell him that she can't fill Sam's shoes in any which way... She knows that she can't match Arjun in status, nor in intellectual maturity, nor in age. She truly feels that Sam is a better match for him in all ways ... If and only this tangti talwaar called nandini was not over his and Sam's head.

That's why haisiyat... He's a man of the world, and she's just a girl with some dreams.

And himmat because... She's actually scared of calling him her own. She does not know if she has it in her to be a wife to somebody like him, who would get anyone if he only looked their way. Also on the intimacy front... Arjun scares the hell out of her.

I loved Monday too. Loved him telling her yeh tumhara ghar nahi hai. Actually he wasn't shouting at her, he was complaining. He so wishes that she would barge in their bedroom like that... Instead of the office. I mean the office he can't be territorial... At home, he can. He's so bloody cute!

Arjun so gets depressed when she says these things that give him the hint of her going away from him. Sam toh door door se uske dimaag mein nahin aati. And every time she says she won't sign the papers... He is secretly relieved.

He is actually so thirsty for love and tenderness. For all his worldliness, I don't think he likes being the Casanova or the seducer. And if he would have ever got married to Sam... She would have spent all her life thinking he's the tiger and not known him at all. A superficial relationship.

That's why he badly needs someone like Radhika ... Because Arjun craves for real affection and love. She even matches him intellectually with all her spunk! He's even amused by her... It's a big turn on for him.

On Monday he was so pissed during the pen scene. Yahaan banda love letter ke baare mein baat karing. Or madam talking about making raaste band. Lol. Radhika was watching him all the time. She's got the inkling that he has fallen for her, but she is big on making things right. And in a way that's the right way to go about a relationship.

She knows that her marriage cannot survive with so much angst from all the people who matter so much to her. The truth needs to come out, and then arjun needs to ask for her hand. That way they can live each other freely. What arjun is proposing right now is clandestine love...

He is scared of letting Radhu go, thinking that once she goes there will be no way to bind her back to him. He has to tell her that she is his and he is hers... For her to accept him into her life and give herself to him. He's never mentioned it to her so clearly.

------------------

Yesterday Arjun was so pissed with Radhika for wearing that dress. But I loved how CVS closed the loop by making him wrap the cloth around her. He has missed his vocation... He should have been a fashion stylist.

He was so pissed with Neil for asking the first dance from chashni. If that does not ring bells for Sam... I dunno what to do with her. Remember how she insisted that her first dance would always be with her idiot. And arjun would let her too. But with radhika he is sooo territorial.

But best was the way he dressed her in that cloth. With Sam he was all in seduction... Ladki ko faas lo mode. With radhika... It was meri biwi hai, Maine abhi tak dekha nahi hai... Dusre kyun dekhe?

---------------------

Ok as for the rest of episode, she completely agrees with me so won't repeat.

Enjoy!

I agree with your interpretation of Radihika. I felt the same way when she said the himmat line. I felt for her when she said, I cannot move forward or go back. She is just stuck. Also, I feel like she took Arjun's backing off as a form of rejection.

Arjun really does not think of Sam, unless Nandani points him in that direction. I think if this show ran longer -- Arjun's jealousy would have been Neil. Radihika is so at ease with him. It would drive husband mad.

I'll be the messenger and share everyone's comments with her! :)

@jasmine I too thought the same and honestly that episode made me so emotional I couldn't bring myself to write anything. It's been a long time since a TV show has affected me such!

awesome batz di thanks to esprit for posting it.Yep I l
Iike ur take on radz for its make lots wth that dialogues.About pen scene yep when she uttered closing roads his face ka pura ujalaa udgayi bechara arjun. He and his raw love.Yes raw its with more care, desire, affection, possession and his obsession adding it more raw.I love this strong headed man who is melting to see a tiny light of a candle.Yes radz she gives light to others life by accepting her own suffering.Such a complementing couples .A person like arjun can make others suffer for his beloved ones but radz can make others happy by accepting her destruction perfect complements.Wat to say this two genius who brought every nook and corner wth their more admiration. But need to say thanks for the wonderful job esprit and batz di.

Perfect timing of your post...having just rewatched yesterday's epi, I kept wondering what happened to Arjun? In the morning he was annoyed that she would not sign the divorce papers and by evening he was a 'loving hubby'? Go figure...still, loved the epi!!!!

Honestly it was because he was relieved knowing she's still there. His annoyance is child like so it's easily removed.

More Battu thoughts regarding saree drape:

But with radhika... His every tuck and drape was poetry in motion. He preferred to have his eyes downcast lest she saw his true feelings... And stole s repetitious glances when he could not feel her eyes on him. Oh yes! Just like her he has a radhika radar.

And most of all the biggest move was his bowing down to her. He may have done it sensuously but he metaphorically laid down his heart for her to walk on.

But she didn't do that... She stood and gazed back at him with wonder, which gave him hope and hence his tender gesture of tucking her hair behind her ear. If she would have said something caustic when he went down to carefully tuck the plates in... He'd never have had the guts to be so tender and then say... U are my wife, and ur izzat is my izzat.

And then in the middle of all this was that shudder that radhika gave when he first touched her as he got up and tucked her hair behind her ear. While he was draping the saree he was all protective, but when he touched her hair he was being proprietal and she's now beginning to understand the difference.

Also did u notice him checking her forehead out? When she says... "Jo cheez meri nahin hai... Usse ... " he was pissed to see there was no sindoor.
