Although Aham Sharma better known as Karn of Mahabharat (Star Plus) is not very happy with ratings of Dosti... Yaariyan... Manmarziyan, he is quite satisfied with the overall look and feel of this youth Star Plus show. "We are all working very hard to bring in newer elements. All the characters keep growing, and discovering newer thing about them. E.g. my character Arjun knows that what he is doing is not right yet he help can't help but be bad. Similarly even Samaira (Kashmira Irani) and Radhika (Monica Sehgal) too are getting more aware about themselves."

Given the fact this show is getting lots of positive online traction, we ask Aham about the kind of feedback he is eliciting online? "My fans want me to be a good guy. At the same time they are appreciative of the manner in which I am playing a negative. Many write to say that while we love Aham, we hate the stuff what Arjun does on the show. This is a happy space to be for finally audiences' are wising to distinguishing us from the various type of actors we essay on screen."

What Aham really like about Arjun, "is fact that he is not your normal black or white character. He is an enigma; there are many shades to him. You have seen him romance, get hyper aggressive and do all kinds of mean stuff. Before judging him You need the understand the psychology behind his actions, as a child he had seen his sister Nandani (Shilpa Sakhlani) suffer, so he had promised himself that he will make her happy come what may. So technically he is justified in doing what he feels is right. Having said that over time there will be a change in his perception towards as life as he matures up. There is so much to do as actor. All these factors played an important role in my decision to say yes to this when it was offered to me."

Besides TV Aham is also looking forward to his English film based on the circumstances in the erstwhile NEFA (now Arunachal Pradesh) which lead to the outbreak of 1962 war between India and China. "Most of the shooting is complete sans the final war part. The makers first hope to make the rounds of various international film festivals before releasing commercially at home. "
