Urmi being angry with Ishan is too stretched out. By that token, she should be angry on herself for being so blind. As bad as Samrat is, Urmi was an adult woman. She should have judged for herself how Samrat was. Trisha was even giving her warnings about him, yet she wanted to be in her fairytale world and just dive in. Ishaan on his part could have thought Samrat would change. He did not owe Urmi anything. I think it's regressive to think women are helpless children. Urmi had the resources to find out about her future husband. She just wanted to be a damsel in distress. Even after Samrat mistreated her, she did not leave him. The brutal should have been the final straw. The cheating pales in comparison than that.
I agree. Urmi's anger is too far fetched. Why would her fiance's friend tell her his friend was bad. And why would she think that Ishaan was the person she trusted most? She didn't know him from Adam.
As for the belting, SamRat needed to be locked away for that. The cheating, he needed to have been taken to divorce court and stripped of all his worldly belongings (at least half) and made to pay alimony and child support. That would have killed him, Midas and his money.
