@Suresh, I agree. If Tau Ji and Samrat's dad don't do anything then they've lost all the respect.

I think this is pretty realistic. I'm glad they didn't show Samrat being super nice and respecting Urmi after she stood up for herself. Instead they are showing what actually happens in homes. They need to come to this level to show what men like Samrat do. A guy like Samrat who doesn't even respect his own parents and sets his wife up for barbadi will obviously take the step of beating her. I still don't think the character of Samrat is totally ruined. He can still change, as many men have who are similar to him but we'll definitely lose respect for him. I'm glad they went this route though, because in reality men beat their wives over setting them up with a guy. This track will have the entire family with Urmi and against Samrat. It will also show Urmi throwing him in jail and standing up for herself, as all women should who are in an abusive relationship. It took a lot for Urmi to get here but as they say sometimes it takes the worst to happen for change to come.
