Round and around and around we go

I really would love to know where this show is going because for me it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I had stopped watching a while back getting annoyed with Samrat and Urmi's dynamic. I started to watch again when Urmi had left him and then the same thing was happening again when she got pregnant and I stopped watching right before the leap.

Since the leap I've been watching regularly and was seriously perturbed that 3 years (not sure how long had passed) and Samrat was still the exact same way. Shouldn't have been surprised really. Tau ji has changed everything. Too bad not Samrat. My heart had really went out to Urmi when she was in front of God and saying she doesn't want to live anymore. A young woman with so much hope for her life just giving up But then I realized that the Urmi who stood up to Samrat and got slapped and left him, disappeared after the leap and she was allowing this to happen to her. She felt like on some level she deserves it.

But darn, Samrat is a class act and by that I mean an A class jerk-off. Still sleeping around with no respect for his wife and child and family. No respect for anyone but Tau ji. He has really helped Urmi and with this latest incident, Urmi really needs to fight back. And fight back all guns blazing because she's not the only one getting run roughshod over by Samrat.

I'm beginning to feel and have felt for a while that Samrat is never going to change. He is set in his ways and if after years of marriage he doesn't love or respect Urmi I have little hope of him doing so ever. In my HONEST opinion she should have left him long ago with her child in tow. No woman should stay in an abusive marriage. And with Samrat's latest act with the Manish thing to punish her all because she kept her dance class from him. I mean to stoop so low just because she did something without informing him, he tarnished her name in front of the entire family and humiliated her.

I hated that she was begging him to forgive her. I mean where is her self-respect? One minute she's got spirit and the next she's a weeping willow. Really? She needs to decide what she wants for her life and her child's future and then stick to a decision.

The point of my post though is that the repetitiveness of Samrat shaming and insulting Urmi is getting annoying now. With Trisha out of the picture now, Ishaan being cancelled out when I had high hopes for his character and that really clueless DIL in the other house, there needs to be something happening.

I just really want to see Urmi standing up to Samrat and telling Shashi what's what because she is damn annoying. I mean is this what MIL's do? Spend all day plotting how to get their DIL in trouble with her husband?!!! 🤔 Shashi needs a life. I'm glad Diwarka found his voice and stood up for himself.

But Urmi needs to tell Samrat where to shove it and walk with her head held high out of that house, with her son because the values he's getting in that environment will grow into Samrat 2.0

I agree. Samrat needs to be left. He is not good for Urmi. He is hard to respect.

like half the topics on page 1 is discussing how this show is going nowhere (including mine).
IDK what it will take for the writers to realize they need to move the story forward, but i think they stil havent decided what they wanna do. they test the waters with new tracks to see if they can turn samrat postive or should he stay negative.

thats why i feel its going round and round. they dont know what to do with the show

I agree with the TM. The story isn't going anywhere. They could run the show for several years by showing the viewers many more disgusting aspects of Samrat's personality and Urmi suffering more forms of abuse and crying her eyes out. Samrat can never change and even if he changes, there is no forgiveness possible for his many sins.

Exactly, I mean how do you redeem a character like Samrat because he seems to have grown up with a good family and as Tau ji is an advocate for the right thing too, I fail to understand why Samrat is the way he is.

One thing I dislike is redemption that's not justified so writers should think really about how to do this if they wanna go that way eventually.

But in my honest opinion, Urmi should just leave and she's young enough and I'd like to think society has progressed enough for her to build herself a better future.

The show hasn't shown us much progressiveness...
