Urmis parents

Is it a tradition for them, or does she do it out of respect?

Or are they trying to tell us that her mother has also been through a similar situation as Urmi as she told the father that he will never understand Urmi;s feelings.

I get a feeling she can empathize with Urmi as she might have also had some dreams.

Or they could be portraying that in their household the men are treated as such and put on pedestals where as the wife is just there to fulfill her duties kind of like Samrats attitude towards women. Like they are only there to fulfill household duties and do not have an existence of their own.

It just got me thinking...🤔
