This post tries to understand the dynamics of love shared by few character from the perspective of today's episode!
Rantara- " Do Dil Ek Jaan", the significance of this phrase is so strong and powerful. It is just not about love, but about living a shared pain, joy, hurt, anger and passion. Much more and beyond. You have two souls responding to each other's emotions sub-consciously. You just cannot have the one without another. And for now, I feel Rantara are doing a good job of reiterating the essence of this story.
Raghu is aware of every fiber and being of Antara. He understands her bitterness but is angry at their circumstances, her and himself for letting it all happen. He detested the the diamonds decorating her neck , to him it meant a caged Antara. She is Mrs. Naik, now. Yet he knows behind all the anger and hatred , there lies his Miss kaul who would understand the significance of the Mouth Organ. That was his first step towards earning her forgiveness, letting her have that one thing which defined their love. He gave her that to remind her what they once shared and what still exists between them. He gave his love as a gift to her. Perhaps telling her that , she might take away every remembrance of their love, she can hurl as much hatred as she wants but she can never un-love him. This mukhra has stuck to it's Antara and the music of love will continue in one way or another.
Antara- Isn't she still living her love by trying to hate Raghu? Her every action and breath is for him. She would hurt their love to justify the daughter in her but she is well aware of the pain that it causes and boy does it hurt! She felt the MO and the memories. She remembered the solace the music and it's maker brought to her, yet she is helpess, she has to live to block the rhythm of hope from her heart once again. But thats one task, even she knows she will fail, how do you rein a heart which is with someone else- Raghu!
Satya- " He just wants his mother to acknowledge him and love him more than anyone else", for all his life he has craved for it and today he got a shred of that Love. His every action is directed and a response to his mom. Raghu stands for everything that he has not received from his own Aayi. That is his love, the color may be a bit grey but he has no sense of right or wrong when it comes to his mom. He has used Antara as a means to an end. He wants to own her heart inorder to cover his own insecurities and make his mother proud by proving her wrong. Wishful Love!
DM- She loves herself to a degree that she wants to have control, power and Raghu to serve her every purpose. She do infact care immensely and probably love Satya too, but somewhere she failed as a mother. She wanted to get the moon for her Saheb but all he wanted was a lullaby at night. Now too they are not on a same page , though , their destination is same- destroying Raghu. I feel in her haste and desperation of grasping Satya , she will loose focus on herself and her control. She would enable both his obsession of Antara and his animosity with Raghu even further. And this will lead to her destruction when the castle of cards ,she made ,begins to sway against the wind of Rantara love. Today the ice might have mellowed for the mother-son but they both failed to see the tears of Antara and the gesture of Raghu. Those two manged to prove their love under their nose. The more hurt Satya would inflict on Raghu, the lesser would be DM's control on him. That would be the beginning of her end!
Ah! the battles of wants, desire and love!
As indeed the final essence which holds this story is also love. The heart of a daughter vs the love of a woman!
