Okay...so I know the show is called Diya Aur Baati Hum. And I appreciate the fact that Suraj has supported Sandhya in her quest to become an IPS officer...but everything has a limit.

After watching the episode today I was a little like...why is Suraj doing her job for her? And this is not the first time I've felt this.

A simple halvaii like Suraj had to point out that if she couldn't see the target with her dominant yet injured eye, she should use the other one. Duh?!? Couldn't she have figured this out herself?

Sandhya had to catch a person on a motorbike making a traffic violation, while Suraj was dropping her off on his scooter. He apparently knew a short cut and cut the guy off...really??! 😆

And although it's admirable that Bhabo, Suraj, and even Vikram are helping her by giving personal gayans to people about traffic rules, and handing out pamphlets...why is it Suraj who came up with the core idea behind the plan she will put into action to get her first memo?

I know Suraj has nothing much to do in the show...and the CVs want to make him seem useful...but is this realistic?

Can't Sandhya do her job without her husband's help, despite being well educated, graduating at the top of her academy, and having responsible staff in the traffic department?

It also seems kind of unprofessional for Suraj to be showing up at her post every other minute, regardless of the reason. 🤔

It would be much better if the CVs gave Suraj something else useful to do. Like someone mentioned in a post several days ago...he should go back to school...or expand his business...something...anything...other than remain in Sandhya's shadows.

As of now...when he winds up solving her professional problems for her...and they play the DABH music in the BG I just hold my head in my hand. 😳

Anyone else feel the same way?

im totally with you fatimaji...yes they are giving suraj some screen space now but unfortunately there is no logic...he is running behind sandhya and working for her...

I stated my dissatisfaction in shruthi's thread, copy pasting it here again...first of all, I dont think they are showing how sandy is balancing work and family...she is mixing both...secondly, more than sandy, it is the RP people especially suraj is the one trying to adapt to sandy's job nature and adjust life and routine accordingly... where is sandy's part in it? she cant even do her own job!

Actually now that you mention it...Sandhya has always been shown to have zero aptitude when it comes to cooking, sewing or other household tasks. So it has always been the family that has adjusted and accommodated her.

She was just there to catch, cover up, or take the blame for their various crimes. 🤔

Oh and the challenges. Let's not forget that she is good at challenges. Matka challenge, BCT challenge, and now the 3 memos challenge.

I also don't understand the point of having Zakir back. Neil Bhatt is an awesome actor...but as of now the CVs are under-utilizing his character too.

i too feel the same fathimaji
just because to give more screen space ot suraj they are unneccessarily making him involve in this task issue
as you said it looks unrealistic
and cant sandy do this on her own
they are making sandy incapable

all this confusion because of screen space issue
and its going to cost them the trps
i havent missed a single epi so far
but for the last two days after reading LU i didnt feel like watching

let him concentrate on his shop
and improve his business
that would look real
rather than running behind sandy to help her

i do agree that he is feeling guilty
but involving in this task
shows sandy is incapable

I completely agree...in fact the CVs have shown her as being incapable from the beginning...like despite Suraj and Bhabo helping her...she could never learn to cook a decent meal. And after coming back from training she had forgotten how to make tea.

Like really? I mean she was cooking rice in Bamboo in the forest during training and as soon as she comes home she can't make tea? 😆

It's so unrealistic...and like you said...over involvement of Suraj in her work does take away from her looking capable.

I never used to miss an episode either...but for a while now...I read the WU first and then decide if the episode is worth watching. 🤔

^ agree with you thala...looks like they dont have other ideas to increase his screenspace... their focus is only on sandya's career, that's the problem...no balance at all...

btw, my interest in the show reduced drastically since JT track...

I wish they'd bring the baby swap issue to the forefront. I'm only waiting around for that now.

cvs have run out of ideas
is what i feel
post IPS
they dont know how to take the story forward
there are lot of problems faced by working women
who try to balance family and career
i have never seen sandy in kitchen post IPS
why are they making her just a working woman
show her in kitchen
she too has to improve her cookign skills

after all she is a housewife too
there is no normal husband wife dialogues between surya
the story is always around the angan

its evident the makers lost interest in the show
and are waiting for the drop in the trps
and then curtains for dabh
which is what the rival channels are expecting

to reach on top is easy
to sustain is difficult

Spam away. 😆

@ bold: I agree completely. If my son told me he wanted to marry someone like Sanhdya...as a mother...I'd be like over my dead body...😆
