So I can see you touched a sensitive nerve with your first comment, whatever that post had been about. I reckon some of it is accounted to your 'loud' mention in comparison - definitely not what we call euphemistic, or politically correct, tch!
But there's no disagreeing with your underlying point.
Appalling is not even the right word - cause it stands understated - but it begins to say how disturbing it can be to see the kind of averse attitudes that crop up on mere fiction. The strangest part has to be how high, hearty and mighty people can feel about it!
Bashing is weird to me - this way or that - whether I am a fan from one group or another, period.
To be honest, I suspect I wouldn't really empathize with extreme expression even if it were a real situation - and this, repeating myself, is mere fiction! Yeh... fan forums are for fans. However crazed, however obsessed; and honestly, if something gets worse than watching limitless (and admittedly blind more often than not) fanship/fandom/phorever-dom ...is limitless bashing. If the self proclaimed 'critics' like to term it as realism/reality-check/sensibility - well its time they quit trying to entertain themselves out of fiction - clearly, they can't handle the literal distinction in the essence of 'reel' & 'real'.
Unfortunately - people who 'bash' aren't in agreement with your interpretation of the word. Criticism and Bashing are not separated by a thin line for those who want to see it objectively - the line is distinct, and explicit. But prejudice has its way of dominating.

I'd hold the CVs responsible for bad track, preposterous storyline and what not... but I can't accuse them of causing discord, because at their end, they deal with a piece of fiction, and its range of fictional characters. If someone can't take it just for the heck, its time they bring some respite to their lives (and others while they're at it) and move on! No one, and nothing, can truly hold them back, except their personal discretion! Discord similarly, is entirely based off personal discretion(s).
And having written such a verbose 'essay' - I still think its fair to say, I hate being judgmental. Its not like I'd come out clean on a righteousness tester - why wouldn't I best mind my own business! Its obvious therefore, that I can't think anymore tolerantly about it coming from others...so staying off limits helps. I would have here too, if this someone I know hadn't tricked me into reading this post 😆 (So I didn't say I wasn't human, and didn't have temptations to lecture?! 😆)
On an alter note, just skip touchy issues. There's little to do about those who shall continue with their ...erm...correctional posts... Since you are an AR fan - you already have things your way yeh? Just sympathize with the lesser satisfied 'fan-bases' and excuse them! There's no miracle counter as effective as indifference 😆 of course, there's none other as effortless either!
