JP and Jiggy get nostalgic

STAR One's popular show Dill Mill Gayye is nearing its end and one thing that will definitely be missed is the comic duo JP (Prasad Barve) and Jiggy (Karan Paranjape). We catch up with them as they recall memories of the show.

"I am sad that the show is ending. I joinedDill Mill Gayye after it had completed two years but feel like I have been with the team since the first day. I cannot explain my bond with Armaan (Karan Singh Grover), Riddhima (Jennifer Winget) and the others in words" says an emotional JP. "Even I am feeling really sad. The show ran for three years and it was like an era. I spoke to some viewers who really feel for Armaan and Riddhima and consider them as trendsetters. Everyone was shocked after finding out that that they will not be able to watch their favorite doctors on TV anymore" says Jiggy.

So what will JP and Jiggy miss most about DMG? "It's the fun that we used to have in between the shots that I will miss most- watching movies together, eating together, these are unforgettable memories" reveals Jiggy. JP agrees as he says "The fun that the gang of boys – I, Sid and Jiggy had. Recently Armaan also joined our group".

Reminiscing their favorite scenes in the show JP says "I loved the sequence where Armaan teaches Shilpa kickboxing and both of them excelled in that scene. Another scene I can keep watching numerous times is the one where Siddhanth ties the knot of Riddhima's blouse and the expression on Riddhima's face is unforgettable." Hearing this Jiggy smiles as he recalls his introduction scene in Dill Mill Gayye. "My first shot which was with Neha Jhulka is special for me. Then there were two episodes where I, JP and Siddhanth stay in Tamanna's house and JP and Sid tie me up, I enjoyed doing those scenes and they were hilarious".

JP and Jiggy's rapport and comic timing has been appreciated a lot and Jiggy feels that JP deserves credit for the same "I was not an actor, I was a filmmaking student, working as a creative assistant with Cinevistaas" says Jiggy. "Acting just happened by chance. It was JP who taught me acting, expressions and comic timing" he adds. "I still remember the time Jiggy had entered the show and his role was supposed to last only for four episodes. It was a garba sequence and Jiggy was not very serious because his role was supposed to end soon but of course his character was retained later" recalls JP.

As for the memorable moments spent with the DMG team, JP bursts out laughing as he reveals " Prateik from the DMG team sends us emotional messages every time we are late for the shoot. We used to have lots of fun calling up each other and finding out if they have received an emotional message too".

So what memorable compliments have this terrific duo received for their performance? "There have been many compliments from fans who come and visit us on the sets. It would not be fair to single out any one of them" says Jiggy. An excited JP says "The term 'flowerji' that I use to address women on the show has become very popular. When female fans ask for autographs, they request me to write 'flowerji' along with their name'.

Discussing the perfect end for Dill Mill Gayye, JP feels he cannot decide whether Riddhima should choose Armaan or Siddhanth " Armaan is a very good friend and so is Siddhanth. I feel the creative team should come up with some way that both should get their love Riddhima (laughs). Even I don't know how that is possible". However Jiggy is very clear about his choice "The ideal end should be the long awaited marriage of Armaan and Riddhima. They are just meant to be together".

So can we expect to see JP and Jiggy back on the small screen soon after the show ends? "I am doing a show for STAR Plus but it's too early to reveal details. Besides that I have shot for ads like 7x cream, Bingo and others" reveals JP. "As of now I am not doing any serials but you will see me in some commercials soon" says Jiggy.

On a parting note JP and Jiggy have a message or their fans "Please keep loving us and we hope you love us equally in the other projects that we do after Dill Mill Gayye. Whatever we have achieved is only because of your love and appreciation".

We earnestly hope to see our favorite comic jodi back on TV entertaining us with their hilarious antics even after Dill Mill Gayye ends.
