"Tumne humhai mental hospital mein admit…I can't believe it. Mujhe pata tha, pata jise din meri shaadi tumse hui ki mein yahaan par ek din admit zaroor ho janonga, par won din itni jaldi aayega yeh nahi pata tha. Mein ne tum aur tumhare pagal karne ki super powers ko underestimate kar…sorry Riddhima devi ji!!"Sid

Riddhima grew furious at hearing Sid insulting her. As the anger spread throughout her body her face flushed with pure red. Sid caught a glance of the enticed beautiful terror that stood beside him and slowly moved back step by step. Riddhima also took very slow long strides towards him, like a lioness moves before pouncing on her prey. Sid frantically shook his head looking for an escape or a bullet proof vest, although he was certain that not even a bullet proof vest would guard him against chudail nails.

"Tum mujhe blame kar raha ho?"-Riddhima between clenched teeth and continuously moving towards him. Sid attempted to clear his throat before speaking but instead he just ended up taking a large gulp of air, as if it was going to be his last.

"Haan? I mean of course tumhe blame kar rahan hoon"-Sid grabbed the first thing that came into his hand. Unfortunately it was a spoon and it stood no chance against the Riddhima. Sid attempted to throw the spoon aside but ended up hitting Riddhima's toe with the spoon. Riddhima let out a small scream and then gave Sid the glare of death.

"Mummi"-Sid scared at the red eyes staring down at him like he was its next meal. Sid made a run for it, but Riddhima was right at his tail. While they were running in circles around the room full of mental patients, Riddhima had managed to grab a handful of forks from the cafeteria food cart. She started throwing them like darts at Sid, while trying to catch up to him. The both of them were unaware that two people were staring at them from atop, the doctor and the nurse.

"Yeh dono toh mental patients ko bhi sane dekhata hain. I think they are a hopeless case"-the doctor sighs as the nurse nods in agreement.

Suddenly Riddhima noticed a pair of footsteps hastily running behind her. At first she ignored them and continued to chase the tiring Sid, but then she realized that those footsteps were tailing her as she was tailing Sid. Fear washed over her face and she started to run away from the footsteps instead of running after Sid. Sid risked a quicky glance behind him to see how far away his death was running behind him. Sid was shocked to discover the fear he saw in Riddhima's face and he stopped immediately. The curiosity of what scared Riddhima was overpowered by the need to shelter her from anything and everything that could even cause a scratch. He stopped in his path and looked into Riddhima's eyes.

He saw the need she had for him and the speed at which she was running towards him told him that he was the only one…the only one that could make her feel safe. Hey eyes also raised a question…would he forget the past and accept her. Would he open his arms to her?

Sid raised his arms wide open to invite her into them…the only place she felt alive. Even though she was afraid a thin smile spread across her lips as she crashed into his arms. She hugged him tightly almost taking away his breath. She dug her nail into his back as the tears flowed from her eyes. She had forgotten everything…everything but the essence of the man she had waited for. She closed her eyes and took a large breath to let Sid's essence fill every part of her body. She felt his heart beat against her own heart and for the first time she felt like she was breathing. Sid tightened his arms around her and closed his own eyes to surrender himself to her touch. They stayed as one for at that moment they felt like their love, immortal. Riddhima smiled and slowly began to open to her eyes. The sight before her forced her eyes shut.

"It's not real. That…that person isn't real. Only Sid's real."-Riddhima kept repeating. A confused Sid pulled back without letting Riddhima out of his arms. He stared at her with closed eyes and shaking her head. Sid chuckled at this sight and Riddhima only opened one eyes. She hit Sid playfully for laughing at her.

"Finally Riddhima Gupta ko kisi se darr lag raha hai!"-Sid in triumph.

"Oye it's Modi. Aur mujhe phele sirf ek jise se darr lagta hai aur aaj bhi sirf auisi baat se darr ti hoon"-Riddhima in a soft tone as she lowered her eyes. Sid had a feeling as to what Riddhim was talking about. He place his hand underneath her chin and forced her face up so that she was staring into his eyes.

"What scares you?"-Sid softly anticipating the answer.

Just as Riddhima was about to answer there was a tap on Sid's shoulders forcing him to turn and look at the cause of all chaos. In front of him barely stood a man, as he was half Sid's height and looked as if he was drunk. He smiled to reveal that his front two teeth were missing and the rest were black indicating they would suffer the same fate as the front teeth. Sid straightened his stand and pulled Riddhima behind him creating a shield between the mental patient and Riddhima. Riddhima peeked from behind Sid's shoulders to get a look at the man and quickly hid her head behind his shoulders.

The man continued to smile and looked past Sid's to get a clear view of Riddhima. He clumsily get down to his knees and held up something in his hand. Sid tried to make out what the man was holding and oce he realized what it was a smile broke across his face. He laughed and moved away from between the two of them. The man was holding a cheerio as if it was a ring.

"Mujhe se shaadi karoegi?"-The mental patient. This caused Sid to laugh even louder. Riddhima just stood frozen on the spot as if still processing what was going on.

The ringing of Sid's uncontrollable laughter in Riddhima's ears shook her out of shook. She narrowed her eyes to look at the mental patient still on his knees with the cheerio in his fingers, she marched up to him and pushed him with all her force. The sutnned man scrambled to stand up on his feet and he finally managed to do so.

"Pagal…pagal"-the mental patient pointing at Riddhima with a pertified expression as he ran away from her.

Sid laughed even harder at this and Riddhima turned slowly to face him and rip his head off.

"Haha! You know he was perfect for you. Phele se hi pagal hai toh duniya ki sabse bari pagal ki saath reh sakta hai."-Sid managed to get out as he tried to control his laughter.

"Tumne mujhe…MUJHE Pagal kaha? Khud to pagalon ki tarahan has rahe ho aur mujhe pagal keha rahe ho!"-Riddhima fuming with anger moved towards Sid with her hands reaching for his collar. She clenched his collar and pulled him so close to her that this lips slightly brushed. Sid taken by surprise almost drew even closer to kiss her, but he snapped out of it and pulled back. The hurt was reflected in Riddhima's eyes, but the rest of her face reflected great determination as she pulled him back to her.

"Main pagal nahi hoon aur meri shaadi sirf aur sirf tumse hui hai aur yeh baat kabhi nahi bhool na. Apna naam bhool sakte ho par agar yeh bhool gaye ki tumhari shaadi mujhse hui hai toh phir tumhari halaat asisi kariongi kit um ghajni ki tarhan har paanch minute khud ko bhool jaoge par mujhe ek second ke liye bhi nahi bhool paoge."-Riddhima

Sid nodded in agreement as he lightly wiped the tear streaming down Riddhima's eyes. He took her face into his hands and kissed her cheek. A sigh escaped Riddhima as she wrapped her arms around Sid and pulled him in tighter. Riddhima kissed Sid's chest where she felt his heartbeat and looked up at him pinning for more. Just as Sid was about to move closer to Riddhima's lips, he felt a pull forcing him and Riddhima to move away from one another.

The nurse had come between them and pulled them apart. Sid once again shook himself back into reality and Riddhima glared at the nurse with such hatred that it seemed she was moments away from committing murder.

"Ye yeh kya ho raha hai?"-the nurse in an angry voice.

"Cricket khel rah ate lekhin phir tum ne aa ke game over kar diya"-Sid in a sarcastic voice.

"Whatever! Chalo tum dono ko cell share karna parega kyun ki cells sirf ek hai. Chalo"-the nurse grabbing hold of Riddhima's arms.

As soon as she grabbed Sid's arms, Riddhima felt as if there was a fire burning within her. She dug her nails into the nurse's arm as sparks flew from her eyes. The nurse let out a scream but continued grap hold of both. She rushed them to the cell at the end and pushed them in. Once Riddhima was in the cell, the nurse quickly locked the both of them in.

"Iss ki nails toh nikal ne hi parenge, I am sure yeh toh weapon ki tarhan qualify karte hain"-the nurse as she left.

Meanwhile the doctor was pondering over the tale that Sid had told them. Even though he was certain that it was more than likely that they were just crazy he had a slight dought as he knew of hospital by the name of Sanjeevani. He picked up the phone to call them and make sure that there were no such doctors, but then he realized it was night time. He decided he would make the call in the morning to Shashank.

In the cell Riddhima had pushed Sid against the wall and moved her face so close that their noses were touching. Sid feared his fate as he saw Riddhima's red eyes and tried to get out of her grasp.

"Tumne uss nurse ka haath kaise pakra?"-Riddhima. Tears were now forming in her eyes, but she ignored them.

"Oye maine uss ka haath nahi usne mera haath pakra tha. Aur tumhe kya farak parta hai?"-Sid

"Mujhe farak parta hai"-Riddhima now in a whisper.

The tears were now streaming down her cheeks, but she continued to ignore them. She moved her face to kiss Sid's cheek softly and remained like this to take in his scent.

"I love you Sid"-Riddhima whispered in his ears. She wrapped her arms tightly around him and placed her head on his shoulder.

"I can't…live. Jab tum chale gaye the toh meri saasan ruk gayi thi…zindagi tham gayi jaise. Tumhare aane ke baad hi phir se meri saansein chalne lagi. Mein tumse pyaar karti hoon aur meri zindagi sirf tumhare kadom ek saath aage baregi…meri saasein sirf tumhari mahek se chalengi. I really love you Sid"-Riddhima looking up at him as if asking him to believe her, to relieve her from the worry that he would leave her. Sid slowly started going down against the wall with Riddhimaa still in his arms. They both now sat against the wall with Riddhima sitting between his legs and still looking at him with the same desire. Sid smiled but a hint of sadness still remained in his smile.

"Riddhima…har bar mein tumhe maf karne ki sochta hoon…jab bhi tumhare aakhon se ansoon niklte hain toh mein tot sa jata hoon. Par har bar mere samne kal ajaata hai, woh hi dard mujhe rok ta hai…"-Sid was about to continue but Riddhima stopped him.

"Sid, I wish I could take that away. Par mein uss wapis nahi le sakti. But please…please I beg just don't leave"-Riddhima now crying. Sid tightened his hold and brought her closer to him so that she could rest against his heart.

"You didn't let me finish. Riddhima woh dard ki tumse alag hone ke dard ke samne kuch nahi. Tumhari zaroorat ke samne kal kuch bhi nahi. I love you too and by now I know I don't want to live without you. I love you Riddhima"-Sid whispered once again into Riddhima's ears. She slowly looked up smiled even though there were still tears strolling down from her eyes. Riddhima kissed Sid one the lips with such compassion as if she had been holding her breath for this moment. Sid responded with the same passion and both remained entwined in each other's arms until the rays of the sun peered in through the opening of the window.

The nurse came to inform the two that they were free to go, but upon seeing the two kissing each other she blushed slightly. She cleared her throat to get their attention, but they remained lost in each other. Now forgetting about embarrassment the nurse grew frustrated and started screaming at them, but still she was ignored.

"FINE! STAY LIKE THIS THEN"-the nurse screamed as one last attempt and getting no response left.

Finally the two broke and out of breath both of them stared at one another.

"Mujhe lagta hai ki woh nurse humhe yahan se bar lejane aayi thi. Par ab humhe aise hi rehna paregi kuch aur der ke liye"-Sid smiling as he moved a little bit away from Riddhima.

"Aise sirf kuch aur der ke der ke liye nahi par puri zindagi ke liye"-Riddhima as she enclosed the space between her lips and his. The two shared a kiss with such depth, as if the kiss was a promise and a bound. A bond of love that entwined their lives together and with a promise to never let anything between them.
