hello,

I'm based in N.America, and started to watch the DMG episodes starting from season1.

This was the 1st indian soap I actually liked, and loved to watch.

Despite the 3 Ridhhima changes, I stuck to this show, because the essence of the show was unique. I adored the AR bond, and always wished that damn if I am ever lucky to find someone in real life like the character of Dr.A. Malik, then I would never let that person go. This show actually made me wish to have someone like Dr.A, and I'm no teenager. I'm a well educated young professional. An engineer to be more precise.

This show highlighted so many issues, and showed us to be progressive. From an unwed mother, an illegitimate child gaining respect in society, adoption, parents getting a second life partner (shanshank and shubhankar), becoming a step-parent, friendship and comaraderie between friends irrespective of their gender, the issue of marriage of a girl coming from an orthodox family (Muskan, Sapna), the effects of an unhappy marriage (Abhimanyu), the career ambitions of young girls(Muskan, Riddhima, Anji), and balancing professional and personal lives.

With whatever is happening in season2, I am quite upset. The show is going in the gutters if you want the straightforward answer. Cheap comedy in the name of JP. How can sanjeevani accept an intern like JP when Sanjeevani is considered one of the best. Don't they conduct interviews, I mean regardless of how he looks, the way he talks, I'd change doctors if I had to see him! How in the world did Sid do med school in the US if he had such a lazy and passive attitude when getting in med school is the hardest in N.America! Also, how come Shanky & Padma never saw their daughter suffering from spousal abuse?

And now the break-up of the lead pair (according to SBS posts on this forum) which actually got everyone hooked to DMG in the first place is the final straw. Don't know what you think, but your TRP rating will fall exponentially, and it will be the end of DMG, and you will end up losing your jobs!. For me, I think the end of DMG was the Sanjeevani shoot out, because the current DMG is not the original, you should rename it to DTG a.k.a "Dill Toot Gaye"

I'm done with this show. Instead I will inspire myself from the thread "AR marriage scenes" and write a new DMG2 FF that will make sense and carry teh essence of the original DMG that everyone adored.

----Well said. DMG was different from other soaps bcos of the above. but now that magic is lost somewhere.K serials seems to be better now.Same dialogues, same scenes, nothing creative.
DMG1 rocked. DMG 2 ----🤢

Same here! The original DMG rocked! And the less said about the current one, the better!

The quality of the cast, the scenes, the story line has deteriorated to absurd levels!

Earlier we had the whole cast to do comedy, emotional scenes, romance, serious scenes...but now its like "Woah! Seriously?! Thats suppose to be funny??!!"

And about AR, they made the show along with RM, AA, AN, Shubhankar-Keerti, Sister Lovely and now none of them are here...what the hell?!

We all understand how the attachment with AR begins and grows to such a great level, they're the cutest loveliest pair out of many jodis we have seen onscreen. Hope u and us get to see AR together soon :)
