Quite suspenseful episode tonight. Can't say that I loved it. But one can at least say that there was progress in story line -- however disappointingly executed.
>> Pros:
1) Raghav's take on "love" and KriGhav
Beautiful explanation from Raghav on love tonight. The way that he demonstrated it with Krish's teddy bear, explaining that you don't just take your love because you want it. You consider its feelings and its happiness before your own.
Distinctive take, compared to V. This once again went to show how dissimilar Raghav and V are in thinking/perceiving.
Plus, I loved the small KriGhav moment. It was the brightest point of the episode tonight.
2) Raghav's reaction when Sia hurt him -- again [*smacks her*]
Harshad was awesome in this scene, hands down. The way that his facial muscles simply contracted at her hurtful words, his eyes averting hers -- there was hurt and shame and a familiar self-hatred. I wished that she'd never come to his room, never spoken to him. For that was too painful to hear, even for me as a viewer.
Beautiful portrayal of pain, hurt, and a bit of anger in the way that Raghav looked at her. I love how he restrained himself, pushing aside the emotional turmoil and not showing her his weakness. That's my boy.
3) Sundar calls Raghav for help and Raghav finds him with a knife in his back
What an emotional scene. God, I felt sick to the core. The way that Raghav froze when he saw the blood on the garage floor. It was surrealistic. His reaction was just bang on. For a minute, just imagine finding that amount of blood smeared across the floor, knowing that your friend called for help, that he's there somewhere, that he might be dead.
I loved how Raghav hesitated, moving toward the tires. And when he realized that Sundar was buried underneath them, the adrenaline finally kicked in, the panic and desperation as he shoved them aside, finding his best friend half unconscious with a knife in his back.
God, I loved both Harshad and Sundar's performance in this scene. I wanted to cry for Sundar because he was so hurt, so helpless, so small, all of a sudden. It was scary. And plus, the way Raghav's hand trembled when he grabbed the hilt of the knife and pulled it out... Imagine the amount of mental strength it must have taken him.
It was a very awesome scene in terms of performances. Harshad and Sundar just nailed it, man.
4) Doctor reassures Raghav
For once, the doctor wasn't a rude beep-hole. For once, the doctor didn't go "yeh police case hai, hum police ke aane se pehle operation shuru nahi kar sakte". I would've killed the doctor myself if he'd said that.
But he reassured Raghav that they'd do their best and he should stay calm.
5) Sia finds the letter and figures out the truth
The way it was executed was a bit rushed and illogical. But at least she was shown as a clever girl, recognizing V's handwriting and figuring him out.
6) Sia returns home and faces Viraj
If she'd abandoned them all now, I would've never forgiven her. But she didn't. She went back. Doesn't matter if it was for herself or them. She went back and she better put things straight, because this is all partly on her. Everything that's happened.
>> Cons:
1) "Expecting anything of you was wrong of me" -- WTH?!
Excuse me? Did I just hear her right? Did Sia actually tell Raghav that expecting anything from him that spelled "friendship" was wrong of her? In order words, he let her down? Can someone hand me a sledgehammer, because I need to hammer something -_-
First, Raghav wasn't forcing himself on her. In fact, she was the one insisting and pushing him to tell her what his bloody problem was, and he did just that. What's she complaining about? That his concern for her isn't friendly? It is. That his concern for her isn't genuine? It is. What, she thinks that he did all this because he's in love with her?
Everyone applaud, please. Our Sia is clever enough to figure out V after reading one love letter, but isn't clever enough to understand and respect the feelings/intentions of a man who has saved her, supported her, and made her stronger. I'm severely disappointed with her tonight. I had expected her to say something like "I'm sorry that you're hurt", or even "oh, maybe I was giving wrong signals" -- basically anything but what she said to him.
Nothing could have hurt him more. For a character so pure of heart, who did so much so selflessly because others' pain pains him, he did not deserve that. Goes to show how little she has understood him. What friendship did she wish for? The kind where he'd sacrifice for her, support her through everything, and she'd just relish it in the name of friendship?
He'd do that for her, because it's what she'd want. But where's her selflessness? I will tell you where it is: It's not.
2) Rushed scenes [dishum, dishum, flash, flash, gasp, gasp, shock, shock] *dies*
The script was poorly written/executed tonight. There was no flow. NONE whatsoever. It seemed weird to me that things were moving fast when some of the scenes were actually significant to character development and should've been allowed to play out.
Like, Raghav finding Sundar. Like, Didi telling Sia about V. I mean, it was all rushed in the holy name of suspense. Give me a break. Please. I don't mind suspense as long as it isn't overused and ruins the character growth or doesn't allow a scene to play out fully.
I had no time to absorb the episode. All I remember, really, is a lot of flashes O_o And, of course, the suspense resulted in illogical moments here and there and things just quickly being added here and there -- like the guy who took a picture of Raghav holding the knife.
3) Why the hell doesn't Didi talk to Gayatri about Viraj?
Why? Why go to Sia and not directly to her boss? Makes no sense. Didi knew Gayatri long before she knew Sia. And how well does she even know Sia?
4) The cut from Sia heading to the bus-stop and then showing up at home
Did I miss something? O.o Maybe the episode I watched had been cut, or something?
I remember Sia telling the driver to head to the bus-stop, and then next thing she's home. I've no clue what happened to her in between. I've no clue what her thought process was.
5) Sia snatches the gun from Viraj and hugs Krish -- hail stupidity
Because that's what I'd do. Take the gun from a dangerous psychopath, and then turn my back on him to hug the kid I'm supposed to protect from said psychopath.
[That's me being sarcastic, in case you guys didn't notice.]
6) Raghav possibly framed for Sundar's attack
How is that not cliche for a hero? Framed for attempted murder. Put behind bars. That's a very convenient move on the writers' part, because Raghav will be out of the way and Sia can take up the battle against V alone. Which is fine. Except I'm not sticking around to sit and watch yet another hero stuck in jail while his lady love fights for his justice.
Been there, done that one million times. And it's a dragfest that I'm not willing to watch.
