I get an easy one-lined conclusion off Viraj's past from entire rigmarole of Viraj's complex behaviour.
Viraj's mother killed his father and eloped with a servant and might have given him some or other form of torture (physical, mental or emotional) making him the way he is
and I have reasons for every word of my above statement.
1. Viraj doesn't like being with people, he doesn't have friends, girlfriend, casual friends, not even neighbours, his house is in a desolate area. This is because he doesn't trust people. He doesn't even trust Jahnvi with anything and the only time we found him sacred was when he had an accident and he was under constant fear that Jahnvi might harm him.
2. He doesn't like being weak, or atleast people knowing that he is weak, though he really needed hospitality and care, he didn't want Jahnvi to tend him and think his health is vunerable and she can kill him and flee.
3. He hates women. Its was clearly evident many times that he had an impression that women always ditch men who love them. And since a mother is the first impression of the female gender on her son its obvious he might have got this thinking because of his mother.
4. He is specifically allergic to male house-help, fearing Jahnvi might get involved with him. Another instance proving my point.
5. He spoke a line in initial episodes about marital conflicts of couples affecting the mental state of their children.
6. He doesn't like losing anything or anyone, but since Jahnvi is the only living thing he is in love with, (and Hitler too, whom he has chained outside the door so that he can't escape), his household articles have become his objects of affection and he doesn't want anything damaged, hence the extreme level of discipline.
7. Last but not the least, the only reason he raped Jahnvi was clearly to show that he was manly enough to satisfy her and she shouldn't have gone to another man to get physical happiness. Another reason why an extra-marital affair was the reason of his complex psyche.
Guys, these are just my points I noted and drew a conclusion on basis of that, the real story might be different
I agree with you completely! I agree it was due to his mother, either she was cruelly and brutally punished by his father or she was cruel to him and had an affair with with the servant behind his father's back and I'm pretty sure his father had a problem too...You know I also think Jhanvi is weak but she she is also strong, she just doesn't realise it. I don't think she will back out when she discovers Viraj's past and will do anything to get him cured.I get an easy one-lined conclusion off Viraj's past from entire rigmarole of Viraj's complex behaviour.
