Recap
Kastur overhears Bhanu agonizing to Veena over Saroj's non-arrival and immediately rushes off to fetch Saroj. Saroj makes a lengthy explanation to Kastur about the agreement between Jitu and Baapji, and lays down a condition: in which she tells Kastur that if she wants Saroj to attend the engagement she will need to do something for her. In the meantime, Mohan's blackmailing friend reaches the engagement venue and talks to Mohan. At some point the friend bumps into Sonal, who feels she has met him somewhere. Finally, Kastur brings Saroj to the party. During the dandiya, Saroj reminds Kastur again of the condition she had laid down.
Short Update
1. Mohan and Bhanu are a little suspicious about Saroj's abrupt change of heart.
2. Engagement happens!
3. Kastur tells Mohan to meet her the next day.
4. Sonal reveals to Pradeep that Mohan's 'friend' was the same guy who cheated her father in business.
4. Kastur asks for the wedding to be postponed until he is able to pay it back, as she is not willing to force him into a marriage of convenience. Mohan immediately guesses that this was Saroj's plan.
5. Mohan confronts Saroj.
6. Baapji returns the money to Jitu, and effectively dashes Saroj's plan to the ground.
Detailed Update
The episode continues where the last one left off: with Saroj and Kastur playing dandiya, and Saroj reminding Kastur of the sharth. Kastur tries many times to reach out to Mohan during the dance but is unable to do so. In between, Baapji picks up the dandiya sticks and starts playing, and Baa playfully hits him with her stick. At some point Mohan speaks privately to Saroj and quizzes her about the change of mind. Saroj tells him that if he can change his mind about Kastur so can she; after all, she is his mother. Saroj leaves, leaving Mohan highly suspicious of her motives. Bhanu goes to Mohan too and expresses his doubts about Saroj's behaviour.
The ring ceremony takes place, and MohUr take blessings from everyone. Soon enough, Kastur manages to ask Mohan to meet her the next day at a garden close to her house, because she has something important to say. Shardha takes her away to recieve blessings from Kastur before Kastur can even finish her last sentence. This makes Mohan even more suspicious.
Back in Kastur's house, Sonal tells Pradeep over phone that the guy she met at the party was the same one who played fraud with her father, and that he seems to have escaped the police. Both wonder how he ended up being Mohan's friend and worry about him.
In the Galla household, everyone is busy discussing the dance, while Saroj is in a corner feeding Tilu. Narmada compliments Saroj on her dancing with Kastur. Baapji in the meantime tells Saroj he is happy that Saroj has accepted Kastur, because Kastur is a girl of good traditional values and will be an asset to the household. Saroj smiles smugly throughout this, and when Baapji gets everyone to leave the room and retire for the night, Bhanu goes to Saroj and asks her about her sudden change of tune. Saroj replies that Kastur is going to be their bahu soon, and she apologized to her with so much affection that she just had to come. Bhanu, unconvinced, doesn't ask any more.
The next day, Mohan waits for Kastur at the park. He is about to light a cigarette when Kastur arrives, so he hides it. Kastur asks Mohan to return her father's money before the wedding, as she doesn't want everyone to this he is marrying her as a compromise. For her, Kastur says, her husband's honour matters far more to her than her own, and therefore it would be better for them not to get married until the money is returned. Mohan looks put out on hearing this, and Kastur asks him if he felt bad about this. Mohan tells her that he doesn't, but that he is busy and they need to leave.
Baapji meets Jitu and returns the money to him and tells him that he would never want to sell his grandson for a few lakhs (That wasn't the way you were thinking 4 years ago, douchebag! š”), and Kastur happens to see this. In the meantime, Mohan confronts Saroj about what Kastur told him, and tells her he knows that it was Saroj who asked Kastur to say this. Saroj admits to doing so, and tells him that this way they can arrange it such that he doesn't need to marry Kastur. Mohan lies that he isn't marrying Kastur for money, and behind him Baapji agrees, telling him that he has repaid Jitu and to seal that deal Mohan has to sign a document that states that Mohan needs to give 20 lakhs to Baapji. Mohan looks none too happy about this.
Precap: Baapji tells Mohan that if he refuses to repay, he will have to take care of the masala business.
Episode Rating: Nice, but not particularly exciting. Not sure I dig the way they portray Baapji nowadays and brush aside half of the negative things about him š„± I'm just hoping they don't make him some doe-eyed innocent and blame Saroj for everything when Mohan's truth comes out, but the way they're going I'm afraid they will! 6/10.
