'The Camelot'Camelot....in Arthurian legend,is the site of King Arthur's court........the legendary centre of King Arthur's realm......this thread is an actual centre of Maharaj Dharam's realm.....but 'camelot' in general sense or usage of the term means......A Camelot is a place or time of idealized beauty, peacefulness and enlightenment.......how appropriate as we find ultimate beauty in this thread ( beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder...u see...*wink wink*) Peace in this thread is to be found only wen none of us are online*hehe*(so contradiction here).......but anybody dare deny that we experience enlightenment here???? Haven't we reached the 7th heaven???..okay 7th ThreaT....watever!!A Camelot is a time, place or atmosphere of idyllic happiness..........how true for our gatherings on this special thread dedicated to Vikrant...........Legends say,Camelot was the capital of King Arthur's kingdom...truth,goodness and beauty reigned there.......Oh Man!
Camelot is a dream city, a Utopia, King Arthur's personal capital where he dispenses justice, hosts feasts, and surrounds himself with brave knights.....does that description remind u of something??? Us??? Yeh Yeh!!!Ofcourse this is Vikrant's Camelot!!!And we all are his Knights of the Round Table.....Always there for him & ready to fight for him & defend him....standing against everything that could harm/trouble him.......Camelot has come to be associated more with the values that it represents than an actual place...ditto in our case....
we all from here are known more for what we represent about Dharam's character than being in this place...
If King Arthur did exist, his stronghold, his Camelot, would not have resembled a many-spired palace, it would have been more basic and the inhabitants would have survived under near constant warfare......now this reminds me of the constant
wars that We,the inhabitants of this place, have with others bcoz of our full-fledged and unwavering support to our reticent and ever-so-modest Maharaj....and me not talking of our various warfares.......Ssshhhhhhh........
Camelot as a place is associated with ideals like justice, bravery and truth, the virtues Arthur and his Knights embody. The Round Table seems to have started with 50 seats, grown to 150 and then to an extremely unlikely 1600 in some legends.
This is the fan thread.....and how appropriate the above line is.....considering the handful number of fans that we earlier had on this round table here...who gradually grew in number.....and hopefully will reach astounding figures.....touchwood!!!In American contexts, the phrase "Camelot" refers to the presidency of John F. Kennedy, as his term was a period of hope(We too have lots of them from our superstar) and optimism(oh theres lots of it here.....) and held a lot of potential and promise for the future.....well well....this applies to both Dharam and Vikrant.Arthurian scholar Norris J. Lacy commented that(since location of Arthur's Camelot is not known).....
"Camelot, located nowhere in particular, can be anywhere."......Yup! Wherever WE Go! Ain't I Right???So here is a bevy of knights in suits of armour along wid a big castle called 'Camelot'Lines from the musical 'Camelot' by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe:::Don't let it be forgot,
That once there was a spot,
For one brief shining moment,
That was known as
"The Camelot"
thanks samy for the description😊
