why cant a relationship be platonic

this whole show is new to itv in many aspects , i know many people ship abhay and deepika and i totally understand why , they would be sweet together , but even the mentor mentee thing would be new to itv , it would be nice to see a male-female in a non-romantic setting where they are mentor mentee first, and are very close , but as friends and teacher-student who know everything about each other . personally am hoping for dr.saxena changing for better and understanding and respecting deepika here after or another actor for deepika . but ultimately i would be fine with abhdeep too
