Amrapali replaces Parvati Sehgal in Mahadev

TOI.com recently reported about the entry of Matsaykanya in Triangle Film Company's Devon Ke Dev Mahadev.

We also wrote that the makers have roped in Parvati Sehgal of Pratigya fame to play the role. However, the latest information that we have gathered from the sets is that Parvati has been replaced by Amrapali Gupta who recently tied the knot with TV actor Yash Sinha.

Sources inform that Amrapali has been brought on board to play the role of Matsaykanya. The role was earlier decided to be played ParvatiSehgal but after the look test the makers realised that Parvati didn't fit the role hence she was replaced. Amrapali, on the other hand has already started shooting for the role of Matsyakanya. Matsyakanya will give birth to one of the biggest enemies of Lord Shiva (Mohit Raina).

We tried contacting, Amrapali Gupta but she remained unavailable for comment.

So by the sounds of it, this Matsyakanya/mermaid character may absorb the energy released into the ocean from Mahadev's third eye, then she will become pregnant with Jalandhar and give birth! Or she may not "give birth" in that way but somehow will be involved in giving Jalandhar form. It will be interesting to see what actually happens...

So this Jalandhar will be a merman? Will we see Mohit in a merman costume? 😆 And Parvati will be the female version of Prince Eric (except our 'mermaid' doesn't get a happy ending which is true in some way to the original story of The Little Mermaid).

She is Jalandhar'smother? The Shiv Puran story says the energy took form of a small child in the Sea. If she is mother then Shivji becomes father? He'll fall for his Paravti, who is Shivji's wife. Cofusion. Confusion.🤣

Jalandhara is sometimes referred to as a sort of a "son" of Shiva because he was born from Mahadev's energy (similarly Veerabhadra is sometimes referred to in the same way). So that is fine. But this mermaid thing is hilarious. 😆

The way things are going on, this track will be interesting, even the speculations are entertaining.

He is Shivji's son, as in the end his soul, energy, merges into him. But falling for his father's wife is too much. Anyway that's the story, so will sit & enjoy.😆
