...Like the ones which Shiva- Parvati took, are in my opinion, completely outdated. I mean, what is the point of making vague promises like "I will not forsake you..." or "I will always respect your views..."
I propose to revamp the vows which a man should take (to ensure a happy domestic life)
(1) Whenever you wish to go shopping to Nalli's,/ Pothy's / RmKV (Note: These are very famous Silk saree shops in Chennai (which I love) other girls may fill in with names of whatever shops they like frequenting) I will unhesitatingly accompany you.
More importantly, once inside, I will not complain about the time that you take or the amount on the bill at the end of it. I will unhesitatingly open my wallet and give you my credit card without reservations. I will also not complain about the traffic jams on the road or the lack of parking spaces in front of your beloved saree shops.
(2) I accept that, for you,clothes, cosmetics and jewelery will rank higher in preference than me. I will never wonder why you need to buy more sarees, bags, earrings, even when your cupboard is overflowing with them
(3) I will allow you to watch all your favourite serials, especially DkDM. During that time I will ensure that the kids finish their homework and pack their school bags.
(4) In return, you should allow me to watch whenever there is a cricket match on TV. If there is a clash b/w the two- i.e the cricket match and DkDM are telecast at the same time, I will buy you another LCD TV
(5) I will uncomplainingly eat the Maggie 2 minute noodles that you will dish out at times, whenever you too are busy. I will refrain from making typical comments like "When we were kids, my mother used to manage a large family and yet had the time to make the most wonderful dishes. In fact I will refrain from making any comment that start with "My mother used to..."
(6) I will not comment on your abysmal driving skills or your total lack of sense of directions. I will not wonder how you got your driving licence.
(7) I will not peep over your shoulder to find out what you are writing on I-F.
Now what are the vows which a girl should take, I leave it to Vrish...Kal El...or *King*
