i don't think these things can be shown on tv because it will definitely violate the religious boundary.its just as impossible as a show on muhammad.

there is a lot to learn frm the life of lord mahavir. But i dont want any1 to make a series on him.
And about the news tfs.

now i want some shows on our ancient literature and famous love stories as well

there was no show on famous stories like nal-damayanti , savitri-satyavan. agni-swaha etc..only a show was made on dushyant-shakuntala on star one and it was just pathetic..story was competely changed and the cast was like nightmare..
now i imagine mohit-sona as dushyant-shakuntala

there are many literature wih rich stories like swapnavasavdutta , mrichhakatik , malvikagnimitram , vikramorvashi , kadamvari and many more

if these can b shown then it would be great step to make present people aware of our rich ancient literature

but insab k liye mujhe ek multi billionire k ghar janam lena padega aur khud ye sab show banana padega q k koi channel ya ph to ye sab banane se rahe

@aru-there was a show on Shakuntala on Star One around four years back
it was made by the sagars-trust me it was a disaster they made it like a melodrama over a love story-sheesh
but good to know a story on Lord Buddha-he lived a very inspiring life...
i hope Zee Tv executes it well

i said in my above post that the show was not less than a nightmare to me 😆 the less is said about the cast is better..even my friends looked better than that shakuntala and dushyant and i don't trust sagars in case of ancient story based shows now..

socho k agar mohit-sona dushyant-shakuntala hote to (uske liye mujhe powerful sapna dekhna padega..sach mein to nhi ho sakte😆)

i want great cast for budha-gautami-yashodhara-rahul-anand-bimbisar-ajatshatru-sujata-amrapali-jeevak-devdutt plzzz

sidhartha was historically very handsome with beautiful eyes..plzz ise thikse dikhao

it will be a task casting for Buddha
in Mohit DKDM found a perfect Shiva, just like how Nitish Bharadhwaj made a perfect Krishna and Arun Govil a perfect Ram
its hard to get that near perfect casting
Buddha/Sidhartha has to be someone who is youthful, handsome yet someone who has brilliance and calmness to him
since like DKDM this show is being produced by a new PH it will be diffrent
i am pretty curious to know who will get the role

Shruti

I heard that the guy who played Dushyant in that serial played Arjun in Dwarkadheesh. And that was the most depressing Arjun I ever saw, and probably got Sagar Pictures to scuttle the Mahabharata track in that serial for good.

The other thing about a show on Buddha, depending on how they do it - it will have all the makings of a modern Hindi serial. Siddhartha gets born and is a kid - that will be one phase, then he grows up, introduce Yashodhara, make a huge deal over her swayamvara - where Siddhartha was the best horseman & archer. Oh, and there is a readymade villain there - Devadutta, who they can drag on from the start to the end of the serial [LOL[ They can toss in Bimbisara & Ajatashatru, and who knows what else, and make it really interesting.

Just one thing, though. Many of the things Buddha preached against - like opposition to yagnas - I wonder how well they will go down w/ the population @ large. On one hand, I'd assume that they'd not want to offend mainstream Hindu sentiments, especially if they do things like criticize worship of gods, and then do they just edit out those teachings? It'll be interesting to see how they deal w/ it.
