i think everyone has the same complaint-and in my opinion its the only complaint i have from the show
they need to portray a stonger Parvati-it seems extremely contradictory when the show itself says that Parvati is stronger than Mahadev-yet the distort her!
it will be good if the Cvs and the channel realize that my demeaning Parvatis character they are doing no good
a few points that particularly annoyed me!
1)Parvati saying "i shouldnt have done that" on her becoming Kaali-seriously?shes supposed to be the supreme power and you have her saying crap like this
2)Parvatis cursing spree-why does she have to be shown immature to go around cursing everyone all and sundry just for the sake of her son?
heavily out of character!
3)Mahadev reminding Parvati of her motherly duties to the world!shes supposed to be motherly, loving and caring naturally, she is the mother of the world!

i think to make Mahadev look supreame you are demeaning Parvati!
had it been a normal fictional show no one would have cared, but this is a mythological,we worship Parvati
have some respect and give her character her due...
the beauty of Mahadev and Parvatis relation lies in the fact that she is stronger than him,yet he loves her and she loves him back!
rather than putting down parvati we rather have some nice moments between mahadev and Parvati to establish thier relation!

people will stop watching the show if youll keep misrepresenting Parvati like this!

Sati's interpretation was of a weak human, which she never was too was disappointing. She was Aadi Shakti, was never as weak as portrayed in the show. In Daksh's yagya, all the dialogues of Daksh, were similar to the one from Devi Puran but not Sati's, she was weak & crying till she appeared as Aadi Shakti for 5 minutes in the end.

When Paravti's track started, I thought, her character will be portrayed in a better way then Sati's. She is shown strong when she takes her raudra roop, that doesn't make her crying & weak otherwise.
Please do proper research of all the scripts awailable & show the correct version, TRP will rise, that's for sure. But Showing Paravti weak, crying most of the time, which she was not, is unacceptable.
We wants to see a balanced, good interpretation, not a biased one, which shows one Power weak or acting irrational, to highlight importance of the other.

I am also of the opinion that just to glorify Mahadev Parvati's character should not be reduced to being a weeping sobbing wife who always needs guidance to act her strength. She is adishakti and her character should be depicted powerful.

In the Puranas, as we know then today, there are many instances where Mahadev is the teacher imparting knowledge and Parvati is the receiver of knowledge. The Guru Gita chapter of Skanda Purana is one such example. PArvati asks questions which Mahadev answers.

Similarly the secrets of Tantra Vidya were revealed first to Parvati only- and that too after she accepts Shiva as her Guru (the serial was correct in its depiction here) as per Vigyana Bhairava Tantra

In the field of Yoga too, Shiva is considered as the first 'Adi' Guru and Parvati his first disciple. On the banks of Ganga, on a Shivaratri night, Shiva taught Parvati the rules and practices of 'Hatha Yoga' - a kind of yogic discipline.

In astrology too, the Kal -Chakra Dasa System was disclosed by Shiva to Parvati, according to Maharishi Parashara in his monumental work Hora Shastra

So, even though the Puranas have given equal importance to Shiva- Shakti, Shiva is still ranked superior. While the feminists of today may cry foul, this is what has been written in the scriptures, whether we like or not.

However, amongst the Shaktas (worshipers of Shakti), the Devi is not only Shiva's equal but also above him. In the Sri Vidya cult, all the five forms of Shiva have a lower position to Goddess Tripurasundari.

Yes, the current track of Katikeya's birth and Parvati cursing everyone left right and centre has become unpalatable, but that's because the makers of this serial are not sticking to any one Purana and even injecting it with their own versions.

The biggest advantage of our generation is compared to our elders we are exposed to more knowledge of various scriptures. So most of us are neither pure Shaivites, Shaktas or Vaishnavs mentally. We just want to see a well balanced interpretation of the representatives of our faith. All the puranas gives importance to the Deities, whose puran it is. The same story can have different versions in different puranas.
Sati before going to Daksh's yagya, had appeared in 10 Mahavidya's forms, had told Shivji to teach them as Aagamas, all of them are her Tantrik forms. So as Aadi Shakti she had already originated Tantra. Many Scriptures have originated as Shivji-Paravti convo, Tantra is one of them.
We are asking only to stop showing her forever crying & weak interpretation, which is getting unbearable because even none of the Puranas depict her as a crying, weak Goddess.

they should give us a balanced representation of Parvati
they want to make Mahadev look greater fine
but not at the cost of character assassination of Parvati!
Parvati has been made into the likes of the Bahus of saas bahu serials..
those three pointers i stated where the ones which kind of annoyed me
i dont mind Parvati touching Mahadevs feet,or being his student-those are two very important aspects of Parvati
but the cursing spree yesterday was too much!

Dear CVs,

Please ignore the naysayers. They are useless people. I think you're doing an awesome job. I mean anyone who can put time-travel, Martian White Apes and Santa's reindeer in a mythological show deserves lots of praise.

Just one request: please do not kill Tarakasur so soon. He is the heart of the show (Mahadev is the soul of course). Send Kartikeya to boarding school or something and focus on Taraka for a few more months. There's so much you can do with him - like an epic romance for example. I mean, we haven't seen his wife on the show so why not introduce her and show us their love story? Have him wipe the floor with Indra like Hulk did with Loki in Avengers. And so on and so forth.
