Actually they are showing that parvati too is facing the same situation which sati faced. Both of them handled the situations differently and history is not repeating itself.both of them were rejected by mahadev.sati gave up but parvati didn't.
both of them were asked by their parents to promise to marry the person of their choice.sati became emotional fool and unwillingly promised but parvati used her brain and very smartly handled the situation.

kya karoon mira?? i've fallen short of sarcasm..just like you even i've moved into a phase of utter sarcasm against the CVs and their shenanigans!🤢 oh with all the 'girl-chases-boy-boy-chases-bhaav' and in the process bhaava is lost 😆..i know mahadev's testing her, but just that no puraan mentions mahadev coming into the picture to dissuade her until when he decide to test her by taking the form a hermit before granting her a boon..and solaah somvaar? seriously?😆 why am i mentioning all this?? puraan is just purana and long gone bahaana for the Cvs..😛 i'm trying my best not to hope too much anymore because it's just met with disappointment 😛 for more details check your thread about why we watch mahadev..given my perspective there..i just have no energy to go on about this anymore

I hear you! Even I feel quite exhausted with this!

It drives me even more CRAZY when people pose "serious" questions based upon the invented and nonsensical plot-lines of the CVs...

I don't know why it makes me crazy that people are taking all this as "how it happened"...why should I care if they get the wrong idea right? None of my business.

As to shruti's advice, I can't watch this as a soap because I have a really poor track record with soaps...I don't last with one for more than a few weeks...

In fact I started watching DKDM after ditching yet another soap and vowing never to watch soaps ever again...thought I'd be safe with a mythological show!!

DEAD WRONG! 🤢

PS. will check your response on the why we watch thread. thanks for responding!
