Different names are given to various forms of God. The ultimate aim is to realise the Supreme consciousness, by giving whatever name one feels comfortably connected to. That is God's aim too.

absolutely. I was waiting for ur comment. God is one known by many names. Both shiv puran and vishnu puran talk of param branham (different from bradha) from whom the holy trinity emerges at start of time and into whom they merge at the end of time. So there is actually one God and all the rest are his forms.

Dear, juss one sentence 'Prem Ishwar hai, Ishwar prem hai, Koi bhi naam japo re manva, Ishwar prem hai'... I know this is a very general answer..but it is the truth..I'm supposedly Vaishnavite by birth..but Im glad that my family worships Lord Shiva and Vishnu equally..it's all a matter of faith..n im sure the members answered ur question..and theories of supremacy, equality, worship are all man-made and for each one to choose and follow..but that does not change the undisputed fact that Shiva and Vishnu are just two identities with distinct, complementary roles, but one God..The Preserver can only preserve to the extent where creation is ready to be deconstructed (where Lord Shiva enters),,and the Destroyer's role begins only where the Preserver's role ends..as simple as that..So there isn't anything wrong with showing Lord Vishnu saying that he is Dev while Lord Shiva is Mahadev, or Lord Shiva experiencing the bliss of being a devotee of Lord Ram..infact Hats off to Nikhil Sinha for bringing this equilibrium between the deities in this show unlike other mytho shows👏..hope this kind of answers your question..and we understand that each person has their own feelings regarding their faith..its ok..only out of discussion comes a solution..😳

IT is like this that Shivji prays Ramji N Ramji prays Shivji. They are God of each other .
It is not the fact that Satiji died aftr Shivji left her,,no actually it happnd because Shivji was insultd by Daksh by not inviting him to Yagya. But it is also in the Ramayan that Satiji herself prayed shri Ram to die as she cannot live without Shivji n asked boom to get Shivji as her Husband forever.
But which story is true or to be believed is confusing.Hop to get out of this confusion aftr watchign Mahadev.

Ek dusre ke purak shiv shakti ko kehte hai, na ki vishu and shivji.
Shivji and Vishnuji respect each other a lot, shiv worship vishnu and vishnu worship shiv.

Vishnu's 6th avatar Parshu-Ram is a devotee of Shiv and Shiv's Avatar Hanuman is a devotee of Ramji.

RAMA by name itself means sanskrit is the seed of fire (agni). 'Ma' is for 'manah' (mind). So RAMA means a completely purified mind that has been burnt through deep meditation. So 'Rama' is an absolutely, clean, clear and pure mind that has become one with the Soul.

* Tulsidas goes as far as to say that the name of Rama is bigger than Rama Himself Why is the name of Rama bigger than Rama? Because "Rama" is a mantra, a sound, the repetition of which can lead one to higher states of consciousness.

* Since Lord Shiva is the greatest devotee of Lord Narayana (vaishnavanam yatha shambhu), they pray to Lord Shiva to grant them Vishnu bhakti.

* "Rama rameti rameti rame rame manorame sahastra naam tatulyam ram naam varayane"
means: Chanting the name of 'Sri Rama' is equal to reciting the entire thousand names of Lord Vishnu.

* . In varaha purana (rudra-gita) Shiva seeks a boon from Lord Vishnu to be worshipped by Him in His incarnations. So this incidence should be seen as granting of the wish of His devotee similar to those of Devaki/Vasudeva, Arjuna etc. Reply With Quote

Srila Prabhupada taught his disciples that prior to beginning the mahamantra, we chant:

Bhaja Sri Krsna Chaitanya, Prabhu Nityananda

Sri Adwaita, Gadadhar, Srivas adi goura bhaktivrnda

Sri Adwaita, regarded as mahaVisnu by some, is also regarded as Lord Siva, who has appeared with Lord Chaitanya to assist with the samkirtana movement. Lord Siva is the greatest Vaisnava, and is prominant in the science of bhakti yoga. His teachings are authoritive, and he is considered the greatest authority.

NOD describes the qualities of Krsna. We see that the person occupying the post of Lord Brahma has 78 % of these qualities. Lord Siva is even greater than Lord Brahma in that He has 84% of these qualities. (of Visnu Tattwa, Lord Narayana has 91% and Lord Dwarkadhisa has 96%. Lord Krsna in his Gokula Pastimes is 100%, and these names include Gopala, Govinda, Syamasundara, Ramana, Gopinatha, Krsna, Gokulananda, Yasodananda, Nandanandana, Damodhara, all these wonderful names. I have heard that incarnations like Lord Rama are equal to Lord Dwarkadhisa.) Jiva atma individuals are capable of being equal to Lord Brahma, 78%. No Jiva can become equal to Lord Sive, so he can be correctly be called the Supreme Person.

Hare Krsna, ys, mahaksadasa

ISCKON follows gaudiya vaishnavism which is one of the most fanatical sects of Hindusim they are fiercely dvaitic in their philosophy so naturally interpret in that manner.

so lets not get carried away by their discourse
