Devanshi is all grown up and things have changed completely.

Colors' 'Devanshi' is all set to showcase a massive development, where the lives of the characters have changed drastically. The show has been working on a leap for a while and after several names having popped up, actors Helly Shah, Anjum Fakih and Mudit Nayar have been finalized to play the lead roles.

14 years later, Devanshi (Helly Shah) is a grown up lady who is back to her village, Jwalapuri. However, the village is no more the way she left it and has changed completely.

Who was once preached is now being considered to have a black soul riding on herself. Who was once worshiped is now being hated by burning her cutouts and throwing shoes on the same.

Once considered to be God's own person is now being considered a witch!

What's Good?

The idea of beginning the post-leap saga with a suspense is a good take, where things have changed completely, and instead of just introducing a quintessential 'happy-go-lucky' post-leap plotline, they take to the suspicious and shocking way.

Helly Shah makes her comeback to television after 'Swaragini' went off-air only a couple of months ago. While her fans kept wondering as to whether Helly is a part of 'Devanshi' or not, the same was confirmed only recently. Though she doesn't have dialogues to say in this promo, her presence, looks and emotions make you feel there couldn't have been a better 'Devanshi.' Taking over the mantle from child actress Kashvi Kothari, Helly and Kashvi are both cute, petite, innocent-looking and fiery when needed.

What's Not-So-Good?

It is too early to mark anything not being good in the promo, as it is a teaser and just gives you a heads up on the change the show is set to present.

The Verdict

Helly Shah as Devanshi seems to be a perfect choice and her experience of being the face of 'Swaragini' will only make things better for 'Devanshi.' The show has achieved limited success, but getting Helly as the leading face is a major step up, where it aims to enter the big league. The positivity is there and the motive is clear, so things are only on the upside for 'Devanshi.'

My exact thoughts when I've heard that Helly was approached for this role. I am glad that she accepted it as it fits her perfectly.
