After a long time the CVs gave me what I wanted - a kick in the butt for Monya. The last two days have been absolutely fabulous. First was UV and his anger and disappointment with Monya. The guy is simply amazing, he never fails to deliver - just the right mix of each emotion, he leads his audience where he wants. Superb body language (Ok, ok I know I'm digressing, but after so many days, I do have the right to rave about Ashish. One can't always be ranting, can one)
Anyway, showing Monya a mirror to her actions was the crying need of the hour. He said, everything we've been saying about Monya. Hopefully, this reality check will serve as a foundation stone for Monya's transformation. A reminder of the selfishness of her so-called friends and Monya's world of illusions came crashing down.
But the crowning glory was DS's announcement that she would give the seat to JN. The scene between Brij and JN was simply superb. Esp. the lost look on Monya's face as she realized that she never got her father's love the way JN did. Komal's face was a picture. She's been so obsessed with Monya that she forgot she has another daughter. Was her lost look because she realized that JN never really looked up to her as a mother or was it because she's still reeling from shock that her precious Monya has finally lost her place in the family. both mother and daughter had been taking too many things for granted for far too long. Time they learnt their lesson.
I'm happy that JN is treating Monya like shit, it's the same way Monya has been treating her own family. Time she gets a dose of her own medicine.
But after all, we all know that M is the lead of the show, so ultimately she'll get the kingdom and the Prince, however undeserving she might be.
