Thank you all for your warm welcome in my Fun E.A thread and VM thread.
I decided to post my take on the show and it's characters now that I am only a few epi's away from catching up with the last epi. Pls read through.. I shll try my best not to bore you all to sleep.
Jeh Nandini
Very classy, intelligent girl. Neglected and shadowed by her sister. I do feel that especially after Manyata was found - Jeh has been sidelined by the rest of the family. I do feel that she has a valid reason for being the way she is. I don't have any hate for this character - infact she is a plot contrivance for moving the story further. But I do dislike her for giving Manyata the phone - since which we have tortured by Majnu no end.

A great mother - yes.. She did lose her daughter for 16 years which must have been unbearable. BUT - Had she lost Jeh aswell would she have been a better mom to Jeh aswell. Like Brij once said you only act as though you are Manyata's mom - which I agree with.
Also as a good mother would you not want a better life for your daughter and the best groom for her (hint hint UV?) Infact she wants her daughter to run off with Akaash.. đ
Brij
Interesting character - He doesn't seem to have a mind of his own a lot of the time - and gets taken away in any direction the tide takes him. A very good actor Shabbaz Khan. I have always liked his acting since he played his role in Tippu Sultan as Haither Ali - Many many years ago.
Udhay Veer
Ufff.. Dark and mysterious character. Calm and graceful. A great mind, a great politician, charming, intense, funny, sweet.. he's a pattaka! A man who wants to let Manyata remain in her mast element and keep her personality but just become fit for being a princess. Udhay can handle Manyata.. he's capable of handling the entire raj pariwaar single handedly.
Majnu

A psycho in the making. I can soon see him scratching lines inside a mental asylum very soon. Over confident will get him in trouble. A wanna be knight for a princess he will not be able to protect. He thinks that Manyata will always be his, yet at the first signs of her with another male leads to him wetting his trousers.
A selfish man - who wants Manyata to be Moniya all her life, encourages her silly behaviour and childish antics..He's scared if she becomes Manyata the first thing she will do is forget him. Hence on Valentines day - he makes her promise she'll think of him 3 times a day.
Yes Manyata at night when you can't sleep imagine Akaash as the sheep jumping over the fence. 1, 2, 3 and trust me past three you will not be able to resist đ„± from falling asleep!
Soni and THAT CHIKKI
First they are in serious need of an eye test. I am a hardcore Akshay fan - but felt really bad for Salmaan Khan being compared with Akaash.
Secondly they want to rewrite Manyata's kismat and stop her from being a princess. It looks like they have a home already set up with Akaash as wife number 2, 3. Wow bete betaye Akaash has become hugh heffner. Secondly they know that Akaash ignores them if Moniya is not in his life, hence they do their best to make sure she remains with him - so that they don't have to only stare at him through binoculars any more and be chipkooing to him all the time. I dislike these friends.
Raj Mata
Apart from the occasional funny walk - I do think she's a brilliant character. She can really stir the tracks this way or the other. She is the contrivance to determine the position of where the tracks stand. The rest are mohra's of her chess board.
Sometimes Raj Mata and Udhayveer give each other stares that make me blush! đ
Manyata
Spoilt brat! had enough of her scenes with Akaash. Need of a trop to the opticians, because I'd like to know what does she not see in UV that we all see?
Akaash is her zid - which binds her to her chawl life - which she doesn't want to give up on either.
She can't tell him she loves him - despite he requested or begged a million times.. but she claims to love him đ? She can fight for Akaash - but yet has made no effort since knowing her Baba's truth in seeing him or trying to have him freed.
Give yourself a chance Manyata and smell the coffee - you love Udhay's company.

On the show..
Well as they said I have left my mark on you, in that case Udhay has left his mark on Manyata when they were children, when they first met after 16 years she scratched him leaving her mark on him too. So they are meant to be as I see it.
The need for Akaash - if Udhay and Manyata got together that quickly there would be no story. These two have to come together because they want to rather than đ- them coming together as a rule. I don't want Akaash to leave and Manyata ending up with Udhay out of hurt and vulnerability, I want it to be a challenge and UV to come out as the best - hence wins Manyata's love.
Udhay can't have this girl handed on a plate - he has to work for her and also for the right reason's - only then it will be classified as true love.
I think the journey is to bring Manveer togther but slowely creating obstacles like Akaash and Jeh in the way.
I can't deny that Udhay's flirting moments with Jeh were not interesting, because they were. I wonder will he later use Jeh to make Manyata jealous when she builds a soft spot for him?
Will Akaash be a big man oneday and have a whole attitude change? Making Manayata realise - that Udhay as a born royal is graceful - and Akaash a over confident big head with his newly found fortune?
