i think uday's mom is dead..i don't remember but it was said in the episode maybe uday's entry or unnati's entry when komal was having discussion regarding there mom.

I also thought she had passed away and it also sounds like it from the 1st link in this post (convo between DS and Uday).

DS was saying to Uday that she wished she could complementing Uday's upbringing to his mom to which Uday replied "I wish my mom were with us today to hear you say that." To which DS says "she is here with us today, her hand is always upon you which is why you always win in your rally."
