Some folks, specially men avoid expressing thier physical agony to the world fearing that they might be considered non macho, yet this behaviour of thiers might end up in passive replusive anger.
But physical agony does not equal whining, it can be expressed through other ways as well, like just plain words...
But I agree suppressed feelings have a way of venting out in unpleasant ways if kept bottled up too long.
Being a human does revealing weaknesses end up in looking down towards a person ?
Personally I would say no. To err is human, everybody has a weakness, a fault.
It's like in those fairy tales, that unbeatable monster that only has that one small weakness, and if the hero is able to find it and use it to defeat the monster its a happy ending. People now adays want to become immune to any sort of attack so they try to hide their vulnerabilites (is that even a word?😛)/weaknesses.
But take high-profile Govt officials, like say the US president. They "try" to maintain a nice, clean image because the public bashes them for every imperfection.
If one's weakness is revealed, do you expect counterpart to be huggy huggy kinds and cry with yaa or just go ahead and throw a solution at yaa?
From experience I don't think men like huggy/ crying...and a solution isn't always necessary, sometimes one just needs a ear to listen😳
