Some folks, specially men avoid expressing thier physical agony to the world fearing that they might be considered non macho, yet this behaviour of thiers might end up in passive replusive anger.

Being a human does revealing weaknesses end up in looking down towards a person ?

If one's weakness is revealed, do you expect counterpart to be huggy huggy kinds and cry with yaa or just go ahead and throw a solution at yaa?

why pick only on men? even women stiffle some of their emotions that, at times, leads to problems like depression and also passive repulsive anger. waisey yeh passive repulsive anger hota kya hai 😕

i don't think anyone reveals their true inner feelings in today's world. if they did, they wouldn't be married for long 😉 😆 😆

as far as weeknesses r concerned - u say something about ur weekness...even if u give away a small part of it...rest assured most people will use it against u the moment they get a chance. whether it's making a barbed comment, a dig, or just sharing ur weekness with others and having a laugh at ur expense. some might even resort to blackmailing. such is the world today. therefore, it is best not to let anyone in on ur weeknesses...no matter how much u want to rely on them. if u must discuss them, then do so with only a trusted few. even there, be prepared they might be leaked. after all, if u can't keep ur own weeknesses to urself - how cld u expect others to keep them a secret on ur behalf??? muh sey niklee baat kabhi apni naheen rehtee....just remember this.

as far as what shd u expect ur spouse to do when they get to know about ur weekness. well, ideally speaking, u wld expect them to be ur pillar of strength and hopefully u shd be able to create synergies with ur spouse having strengths that offset ur weaknesses and vice versa....but we do not live in an utopian world😊 least one can do is be sensitive to their spouse's emotional needs.

It takes more strength and courage to open up to people rather than shut ones feelings away. Men and women have been raised to believe that emotional expression is a sign of weakness. For men it is considered a loss of masculinity and women a sign of raw vulnerability. Both try to shut their emotions and channel it in unhealthy ways.

Emotional expression is healthy and despite what we have learned when people open up their feelings people around them show support and sympathy. Rarely does one look down. Emotional expression is a healthy medium to release feelings and most the the time people realize that they do not need hugs or help, just someone to listen to and get it off their chest; having someone there just makes finding personal solutions easier.

Whining on the other hand is a negative emotional expression. Whining is repeated and exaggerated expressions of ones problems. People who whine either attention seekers, manipulators who want to gain things or hypochondriacs.

Men dont cry. Men do whine.. Whining is not a normal feeling or expression. Its just a way of being pointlessly persistent...and whining has nothing to do with being Macho... or non-macho.. its either in your nature or not in your nature to whine..

Hillary happens to be the whiner out of 3 running for the nomination. Not to say that women whine more but she just happens to be ott. 😊 It's a tie between her and Bill. 😛

But physical agony does not equal whining, it can be expressed through other ways as well, like just plain words...

But I agree suppressed feelings have a way of venting out in unpleasant ways if kept bottled up too long.

Being a human does revealing weaknesses end up in looking down towards a person ?

Personally I would say no. To err is human, everybody has a weakness, a fault.

It's like in those fairy tales, that unbeatable monster that only has that one small weakness, and if the hero is able to find it and use it to defeat the monster its a happy ending. People now adays want to become immune to any sort of attack so they try to hide their vulnerabilites (is that even a word?😛)/weaknesses.

But take high-profile Govt officials, like say the US president. They "try" to maintain a nice, clean image because the public bashes them for every imperfection.

If one's weakness is revealed, do you expect counterpart to be huggy huggy kinds and cry with yaa or just go ahead and throw a solution at yaa?

From experience I don't think men like huggy/ crying...and a solution isn't always necessary, sometimes one just needs a ear to listen😳

But you know what I do think is unmanly? Giggling. Can't stand to see a guy giggle. Laugh all you want, but for heaven's sakes don't "giggle."

Very well annunciated👏

One thing though, I think emotional expression should be done in moderate, healthy doses, over-emotional all the time becomes pathetic. People don't take you seriously after a while...
