Yes...Here is one Example
The eclipse of the Moon has traditionally been viewed as a bad omen, for it can awaken irrational responses. Since the Moon governs domestic matters, the public and the emotional personality, rather than leadership, it tends to have a more personal effect than the solar eclipse, which plays a more outward, even political, role. As a rule, women and family are generally more affected by the lunar cycle, whereas men and politics are signified by the solar. This is not to say that women are not political animals, nor that men are distinct from the family, but that the private, nurturing side is more affected than the public, social and media driven arena, which even in the 21st Century is still primarily dominated by males, or at least by what might be described as masculine energies.

The first lunar eclipse of 2007 is a total eclipse on March 3rd, at 1300' Virgo, conjunct the fortunate Fixed Star Coxa (good for voyages, gain by merchandise, redemption of captives; prophetic ability; strength; wisdom). At the same time, the Sun at 1300' of Pisces is conjunct the Fixed Star Achernar, giving the wise access to the ocean of unity. This is because the Sun and Moon are opposed at a lunar eclipse.

This eclipse is unique in that it is partly visible from every continent around the world. The eclipse occurs at the descending node, 3.2 days before apogee and 1.9 days after the Moon occults Saturn (northern and eastern Europe). The Moon's orbital trajectory takes it through the northern half of the Earth's umbral shadow. Although the eclipse is not central, the total phase still lasts 73 minutes. At the instant of greatest eclipse at 23:21 UT (Universal Time, commonly known as GMT, Greenwich Mean Time), the Moon will stand near the zenith for observers in Nigeria and Cameroon. The entire event will be visible from Europe, Africa and western Asia. In eastern Asia, moonset occurs during various stages of the eclipse. For example, the Moon sets while in total eclipse from central China and southeast Asia. Western Australia catches part of the initial partial phases, but the Moon sets before totality. Observers in eastern North and South America will find the Moon already partially or totality eclipsed at moonrise. From western North America, only the final penumbral phases are visible

Well something to think about!

PS - no research or no factual facts my raw views on this topic.

Lunar Eclipse defination is well known to all, asa being a bad omen. In hindu myth. is considered to bad placement or evil place of cosmic planets resulting in negative affect to earth or human kinds. I have watched eclipse with stained glass, otherwise my mom said watching it with naked eye will render me sightless, I never tried seeing it with bare eye even on TV, love and trust my darling... lol Yes if I am at my grand mom's or mom's, would believe in it. Living by myself, I loose track of festivals then this event is as expected unnoticable for me or I don't care. (hope my no one from my fly is on IF...lol)

OK I sure know the cure to this bad omen though 😊 - no leftovers to be eaten after this happens, treat milk/water or anything perishable with tulsi leaves. btw my tea is always with tulsi so am always spiritually blessed, wanna laugh but this 😊 would be more appropiate.

Whatever I have heard is hearsay... and whether it really affects human beings or no idea.. but have heard that we should not see the eclipse with our naked eyes as one might lose eyesight... nobody eats during the period of eclipse.. and also that pergnant women should not go out during the eclipse as it is bad for them...how far it is true.. dont know.. 😊

Hi All!!

I hate people making mess of lunar and solar eclipse wrt traditions.Particularly,Brahmins make a mess out of it😡.They create a big mess by saying "Lunar eclipse is coming!!!" as if a "space ship is falling right on our head".They don't eat anything during that time, they don't allow anyone to eat, they throw all the food prior to the eclipse outside, sprinkle the longterm pickles boxex with some grass😕 (as these are costly😆,they will not throw these out).

I really don't know why they do all these. We don't follow all these in our home.

Pregnant ladies are not allowed to go outside.I don't comment on this.

Wishes,

Mythili

No, neither does any other celestial phenomenon. And I agree with Mythili's views.
