The concern was actually about how the British rulers manipulated Indian history to prop themselves up.
How Max Mueller came up with random dates to coincide with the Creation Theory of the Bible that the world was created in 4000BC.

Today everyone knows that the earth is billions of years old but the text books in India still teach these erroneous timelines and precepts.

EDIT - And I can't see how evolution is a chicken or egg argument. Humans started in Africa. The mitochondrial Adam and Eve have been traced there. Egypt is known as the cradle of civilization.I haven't seen any Western scholar claim either evolution or civilization started with Europe. Why make it an us vs them debate?

Also I do understand Malayalam and would love to read the high literature that has 90% Sanskrit.

I was subtly hinting at the fallacies of the theory of evolution.

Can't recommend any Malayalam literature right now. Another time for sure. I hope you know Sanskrit also.

Which text book in India has Creation theory?😆 Which ancient Indian epic has evolution theory?
I try to respect all religious texts but try to see them as man's way of explaining what he sees around him. Keeping the truth of God's essential goodness in mind and understanding that God does create everyone equal (not the same), I would respect both the Bible and the Vedas and epics. Btw, my understanding is that Vyasa compiled the available information into the 4 Vedas. Way later than that Aryan Invasion times. They were 100% Indian by then.

I do wish you would read the original article in the main page.

I said the timelines were made up in line with the Creation Theory and these timelines and other precepts that are a corollary of the AIT are still taught in Indian schools.

No where did I say that the Creation theory is taught in schools. And what's the evolution theory got to do with Indian epics? I said that the evolution theory is erroneous.

I think we will leave it at that. So Africa is the cradle of civilization. That's fine by me.

I think you can refer to this picture.

BTW very recently scientists concluded that the egg came first.

You got me.

Usually these kind of statements are made by super conservative Baptist preachers. So it always confuses me when people on IF make them. Feels surreal.
