How can we make a change?

Okay, here are few discussions going on about rapes, how brutal they are... my simple point is...these things happen because of the discrimination, because of the patriarchy, because of our "glorious" culture(kindly culture lovers excuse me, especially if u wanna tell me that culture of this religion or that country was good at that age, and now is polluted. EXCUSE ME please.) because every culture has been like this.

Patriarchy is everywhere around us...even from the beginning of someone's life, this discrimination begins. It tells that women are either wh**e or chaste. Any woman controlling her sexuality is a s**t, any intelligent woman is a witch. And sadly this thing has been emphasized so much, now women are the strongest believer of this bullshit.
If you ask me, then the only way to fix everything is to end patriarchy and make a society where there would be equality. Now the question is...how can we do this?

Thats a more relevant topic IMO than the responsibility fixation 😛

But is patriarchy the only reason for the growing crime rate against women? It could be a cntributing factor. So how do we ensure equality?
I think it would help to have better education and job oportunities for women 😛

somewhere it is...its patriarchy which enforces certain kinda notions in men nd women which tells them what is suitable according to gender.

instead of simply wasting time criticizing the country, culture, language politicians etc, Step out of your little world and be the change you wish to see

RE: okay its smwhere really simple...just consider everyone a human being with equal rights. dont look sm1 as man or woman, but as a human...

The million dollar question is how in hell do we get everyone to do that? Can't even imagine where to begin with the likes of people sharing the rapists profile

As I have said before the only way to get real reform is to target a political group e.g. the political member in your area.

1. Form a group such as "Women against Rape".

2. Get someone to be your leader another to document your meetings, also someone who is good at IT to setup a website and produce posters (I am in another country but I will help you if you can't find anyone.)

3. Make a list of your aims E.g. Tighter controls on police to follow up on incidents no matter how small, better support for victims, information in schools on how to report an incident, get girls to not feel ashamed to report.

4. Get as many people to sign a petition as you can regarding your aims

5. Decide on the politician you want help from

6. Take your petition to him or her and discuss it.

7. Contact the media with your aims and say you have the backing of this politician

8. GET YOUR MESSAGE OUT THERE !!😊

Oh I wasnt trying to be rude. What I wfant to say is,Everyone wants a change,in the society, culture traditions but no one actually takes the initiative. If they do not step forward themself, then how can they expect the same from others?

That thing i understand. i second u that it need actions too, but it needs critical analysis too by everyone...i mean ask 90% women, they would agree that rape is horrible, but if we expand a bit like about patriarchal norms and all they will support it . first the need is to let everyone know what is going wrong...every thing not just abt rape.
