I like pink, but only certain shades of it. Such as the one I'm using now - a dark (not bright) pink.

But, isn't this a sort of stereotype as well? I mean, how can colour be associated with gender? Colour depends on skin type and what suits you doesn't it?

I think its a perception formed for God-knows-what reasons. Guys feel that if they wear pink, they look girly.

Women dont have such qualms about wearing blue! No woman says that wearing blue makes her feel masculine!

Either way, any shade looks good on a person as long as he/she is able to carry it off. Be it male or female then, it hardly matters.

Pink se panga, nahin lena ka, NEVER, thts wht Preity says when guys force her to wear Black.
The truth is Pink does look good on guys, because its a color you never expect them to wear and when you see a guy wear pink its eye catching. As T. said, guys wearing pink doesnt make them girly, and girls wear blue, doesnt make them feel manly. It doesnt matter, color is color. Pink has always been used for girls mostly, which is why it has been put into thinking of others pink is only for ladkiyan. But not true, pink is for everyone. 😳

👏 👏 👏 u go abhijit ji...lolz finally a guy speaks up 😆 ...yea and this barrier isnt limited to colors...its outfits as well...women can wear any color and any type of outfit (skirt, dress, pants, watever) and its acceptible..but men in certain colors is seen as a no-no but now im glad to see more men in pink and lavander...and also...we wud never see a man in a dress 😆 😆 ...women can wear pants not even tho a long long long time ago pants were only for men...but men donbt wear skirts 😆 😆 ...maybe in the future 😆 😆

i never knew the color barrier was a wetern thing 😳 ...ppl in the east are oblivious to it?....really?...wow...well lucky them 😆

My dear JAvs Dadi😳.. u know wht the pink color taboo is not just b/w girls and boys... even females of ummm... some years older refrain😉 from wearing pink!! u know now my mom doesn't wear pink any more... i tell her all the time mom plz have a pink dress... now she goes for mehndi color, light purple.. light decent colors.. like that... but i still say i mean why females leave pink after a certain while... is this just a teens color??😕.. NO!!!

to tell u the truth i don't wear pink... i mean shocking pink becoz it gives me a shock😆😆 and i can't wear a shock to shock others😉😆.. i might go for different shades of it so that i can carry it properly... it is a lively color so u can't wear it at some odd/sad occasion probably😕... There are many taboos or symbolic meaning abt colors like white is bright and black is morn... red is danger and green is jealousy.. so may b pink be related like that... in different regions or culture .. may b it might have some specific meaning...😛

Way to go, Abhijit! 👏

It is true that in the West, the colour pink is associated with femininity and chastity.

One of the symbolisms of the colour pink - In Nazi Germany, homosexuals were forced to wear pink triangles. Though now this is a symbol of gay rights movements.

I guess... u are true Javs😕... u know i was thinking the same.. if there is a symbol of gays then and the symbol is still taken like that.. then it is sure difficult for guys to wear pink😕.... See, this thing i was talking abt.. every colour has a specific meaning in different societies and cultures...
