I have met many people who 'thinks' that no one should be judged on basis of looks and its inner beauty that matters..but thats just for saying..they dont act the same when time comes..and in some places good looks are preferred over talent...
why a good face overshadow a good heart???
I'll break the above into two parts -
1)Why the people say that looks shouldn't matter and then, act differently?
2)Why beauty overpowers more substantial things, say a good heart?
The first question is equivalent to saying why people do something and then, act differently. Let's consider ourselves to help answer this. It is not like we practise what we preach always, do we? But practising what we preach I think is in everyone's good, especially for oneself. It gives peace of mind and courage. So, why don't we do it? Perhaps, because what is meant to be preached is in general, good! Things like honesty, following your goals, having self discipline,etc are preached. Now, to practise them is the hard part. Our practises our rooted in impurity, and to step out of that muddle requires a real lot!
What am I trying to imply out of all this? That if someone else says that he is looking for a good heart and then favours beauty in the end, don't harbour hatred towards him. Just realise, he is also a human being and let it be.
That kind of answers the second question too. Since people are weak, they don't have the mental strength or self discipline to wait and watch rather than fall for the all enticing beauty.
There's no cause for concern though. 😆 They say that beauty is a surface level phenomenon for a reason. It can't hold you for long. Either you will grow out of it or that person will lose it.
