"The sun, the moon and the stars would have disappeared long ago... had they happened to be within the reach of predatory human hands."

Do you agree?

For those who love Nature n appreciate its beauty,

here is my small effort in reminding our Earth's beauty which we gradually kept on forgetting with years of development in the world! Hope you like it:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
there is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
there is a rapture on the lonely shore,
there is a society where none intrudes,
by the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I LOVE NOT MAN THE LESS
BUT NATURE MORE
I think to some extent yes!
we humans always try to explore things and after their exploration, we try to find benefits and then, use it to the fullest!
had it been that humans could easily reach other planets, moon, sky...
the solar system gases, dust n other minute things would have been definitely used on the earth!
I think Yes. Its not just the exploration and stuff, humans are kind of selfish at times. Everything on earth is being used up. If man had the reach to the sun moon n stars, everything wud hav surely disappeared
We create a monster and later discover that we are unable to control it. The solution lies perhaps in the thoughts.
We cannot change the world but we can change our attitude. Perfection and imperfection may often lie in ourselves.
ya, agree with you
explorations are not bad but later exploitation of those explorations for selfish use of humans may destroy everything!
Lovely post. Took me back to the NCERT text book days. Yup, man has over exploitated nature. Its no secret to anybody. Depletion of nature will/has been having a major impact on earth. Everyone knows its caues and its consiquences. Few do anything about it. Others just take the Indian attitude of why try to fix it, until it became absolutely critical to our survival.
exactly, some people just consider reading n writing about such topics is enough! Just few do something about it!
i agree with " Others just take the Indian attitude of why try to fix it, until it became absolutely critical to our survival "
I agree...
Solution lies in our thoughts n people think that we can create awareness among other people about this but ofcourse very few are actually interested in this stuff!
But at the same time, its easy to say that we can do something...but what can we do is difficult to answer!
The word nature is derived from the Latin word 'natura', or "essential qualities, innate disposition", and in ancient times, literally meant "birth"
do u think people today are giving any kinda importance to to nature? or they are just giving importance to human greed!
humans are part of nature, n nature should be used to fulfill their needs not greed!
they even drilled miles long hole into the thick sheet of ice to find out more about human evolution, oil spilled in the ocean, space junk, trash on otherwise serene locales in the name of exploration, what not, yes if they were in reach man would have polluted sun moon and stars if it were possible. I remember my senior collegue saying Niagara falls was surrounded by lush greenary, now it is surrounded by buildings, casinos, and all sorts of man made attractions.
